Does anyone have a honeysuckle bush they could post a picture of on the forum.
I was given a honeysuckle bush and I'm not sure where I should plant it, nor what it looks like. It's flowers are red that's all I know.

Hmm, I bought one last year and I think mine is going to bloom a cream colour.

All I know is that they are usually used for hedging. I'll try find some info for you.

Thanks Tamara, I have seen those sites, but what I really wanted is to see a picture of someones bush. I'm still debating where to plant mine.

I can get a pic tomorrow and show you mine. I trimmed it back so it looks like a little tree.

it really depends on the botanical name as to the uses and invasiveness.

most people in the east call genus Lonicera as honeysuckle.

it comes as a vine that is invasive if left alone and also as a bush that is not invasive.

other plants that folks call "honeysuckle"...

deciduous azalea

Tecomaria

Diervilla sessilifolia

Justicia spicigera

I love the sweet scents wafting in the breeze. I stop to admire the vibrant colors of all living things. And people think me odd. Then ODD I am!!!
