Was it grafted or own root?I know they are selling bareroots& they have them for sale like that cause is near time they we're in ground.I think bareroots can only stay in that crap they have them in(peat or sawdust) for only so long.I'll choose a pot grown over a bareroot..unless it looks good.I think bareroots start out slower than pot grown.but I origianly started out with with over 100 bareroots.....so.I've only had a red
rose from them....and hubby mowed it more than once.So I've just not seen it,but it thrived till its death of the lawnmower boy.
I have a slow grower right now,but I grew it in a huge wine barrel when grew it last time& had bought it as potted.I also think my memorys failing me cause thought its
flower was larger before.
