Tamara The bird cage has the calibrachoa and bacopa in it. The Calibrachoa hasn't faired so well it's still blooming a little but seems to be dieing off ~ the bacopa in it is doing great! I'm thinking of putting something else in it as well I'm still thinking on that one.I'll up date that later once it stops all the raining here .

Diane - everything looks so lush and healthy - no worse the wear after that damaging rain storm! Do you have lots of butterflies fluttering about those pretty colors?
My columbine does return each year, and is getting a bit better each year too. They are still pretty small in comparison to most that I've seen, but I'm happy that they do come back!
Here is my rhododendron bush today. It's taken many years for it to fill out and have numerous blooms on it - some years I only get 2-3!
I found a terrific coupon in my local paper last week for a nursery - get a FREE 10 inch hanging flowering plant - a $19.99 value - with any purchase. How could I resist that??? I got there last Friday when they were just putting out a new batch of pots - the woman went to the back and brought out this new guinea impatien for me!
It was a lot of work getting those flowers upright and strong again( some of them are still staked up untill strong enough to stand on their own) after the storms and yes I do have a lot of butterflys

Diane - I'm so glad the cleomes made it through your storms! The numerous seedlings I have from last year's plants are only about 2 inches tall here now. Once they get going, they will grow like gangbusters, but we have not had rain in a very long time now - even our grass is turning brown already!
Here are some more pink flowers from my gardens. It has taken about 10 years for my goldflame honeysuckle to reach the second story deck railing, and wow does it ever smell terrific out there this morning!!!
Some perennial verbena I planted this year - hope this one takes and returns... I've not had luck with it before...
Some blooms this morning. The yellow iris was a saved plant from SC. The new landowners were going to bulldoze those 'weeds'. So my friend Mary asked if she could have them and shared them all over the US!! You can click on the pics to see them larger.
hosta's blooming!!! The stock has gotten tall!! when I straighten the stock up it is at almost at 34 inches possibly an 1/2 inch taller because I had to push the yard stick in the ground to make it stand alone. The color is a pale lavender and I love the shape of the bloom ~ I can just see it on the head of a pixie or fairy for a hat!!

It finally stopped raining here today and the sun came out for about 1/2 hour. It now looks like rain again, but that's ok - we were too dry this early in the year already. I've emptied the excess water out of my pots, and we're good to go.
Don't you just love the flowers on scaviola? It's one of my current favorite annuals!
Love em Wrennie!!!!! Please post your other lupines when they bloom!!! I get to enjoy yours cuz they sure won't grow for me here!!!
Here is another tall flower I just read the package and it says grow to 30 inches and this one is almost 3 ft,, again this is "crackerjack Mix " marigold
