I don't have a pic, and don't even know where to begin to look online. The kids and I were having a slug-picking fest earlier tonight, and I came across what at first I thought was a piece of thread. Then I saw it move. It was some type of worm, no thicker than a heavy duty thread, greenish brown in color, and maybe 3" long. It went straight into the slug bucket-o-fun. Any guesses on what the heck it was?? I am in Michigan.

sounds like it may have been a newly hatched baby snake.

Nope, wasn't a wireworm of an eelworm. This thing was thread-like. Man, I wish I had thought to snap a pic. Although, it was SO ...wispy? I don't know how else to describe it, that I am not sure the camera would have even captured it! It was definately not a snake either. Way, WAY skinnier than any snake would be.

i saw one in my garden also, it looked like moving thread, it looked like it kept smelling the air. i didnt get a picture of it either because it was so thin. it was like 4 inches long. i thought it may have been residual lsd in me so im glad someone else saw one. we should call it the lochness worm snake thing.
