I have photos of a flower that I am trying to identify. I just don't know how to attach the files. Can anyone help? I am very anxious to find out what the flowers are so I can plant them in my garden. Thanks for help!

wavy Welcome, Ruth. I hope we can help you to identify your plant. There are great instructions on how to add photos
in the FAQ, //www.agardenersforum.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/ubb/faq#image.

Thanks Zuzu - I thought I was pretty computer savvy, but now I don't know. Can I attach my photos when I preview this post? Let's see. img_0025.jpg, img_0026.jpg

it's not possible to upload pics directly to this site. you CAN link to them, tho, when they've been uploaded to a picture hosting site.

photobucket.com is a really easy one to use and it's free. just create your account, upload the pics and then click on the IMG info field. photobucket automatically copies the tag info and all you need to do is paste it into your post.

I'm going to try again. I opened a Picas webpage and copied the photos to it. Let's see what happens!

Hello all you nice people who helped me figure out how to send photos. In the meantime, I contacted an online nursery by email and sent them my photos. They have identified the flower as Oenothera (evening primrose, Blushing Rosie) It's a perennial and blooms in early spring. Very beautiful. It can be planted in the fall (which I intend to do) and requires full sun. Can't wait to get them going.

I have the same evening primrose, Ruth, and that is one faithful plant. I have a large area covered in them and they rebloom for probably a month, if not longer. They are beautiful.

Beware of where you plant them...they are RAMPANT spreaders and can easily take over a large area. If you don't want it to spread too much, plant it in a large pot and plant the pot in the ground. This will keep the roots from spreading. Then when it finishes blooming you can set a pot of annuals on that spot to have something else blooming.(I cut mine back to the ground after they bloom because they look kinda ratty.)
