My son had a baseball game and there is a house across the street I always admire. The husband was sitting outside during the game, so I walked over there and asked if I could take some pictures. His wife then came out and we talked and talked and talked! Gardeners are so nice! (I had to put that remark in there for all of you who need a smile after some icky things going on these past few days ). To make you happier - here's to you! Gardeners are so nice!
What drew me to this garden was the grass! I would LOVE to have lush grass like this! My husband promises he will 'get on that' this summer. Been doing lots in the yard - will take/post pictures soon - hoping to get more tips and ideas from all you wonderful helpers!
Okay - had another baseball game, had to skip across the street to see how her gardens were doing, she was out in the garden and smiled when she saw coming with my camera. Sooooo pretty! I have the Russian Sage - just love it!
I can't recall what she said this pink one was, she said it was considered a noxious weed, but she didn't get rid of it, she has these on both sides of her house - very pretty - any idea what it is? I have to have it!
WOW thanks for sharing with us. Love the lush green color.
We had that early in the first part of summer, no more it's been incredibly hot here and almost impossible to keep the flowers and gardens going let alone lush grass.
Kindness is a language the deaf can hear and the blind can see.
It's fun checking out other gardens. I'd love to tour others gardens. I believe the purple plant by the car is loosestrife. I have it too. I have also heard it can be invasive. I haven't had any trouble with it. I could try to send you a piece. I also like the russian sage. The's a house douwn the road that has several large sage in front of the white fence they put up last yr. I keep wanting to stop and get a pic. Diane
Diane, you SHOULD go and get a pic! You might make a new gardening friend, always a bonus!
Patty, those photos are georgous. I'm sure I've seen sage before, it's the bluish-purple tall plant? (would I be dating myself if I mentioned New Riders of the Purple Sage? I must be aging more than I though~~all I can remember is the name of the band! ;~D))
I'm so jealous of the grass. Diane, might I suggest you tour your neighbors garden in bare feet?
