There are 2 of these trees in my next door neighbor's yard, down by the rock wall at the end of the property in the back. They have been scenting the ENTIRE street with the sweetest smell - very perfumey!

Anyone know what it is?

Oh Lynne, my sister in Massachusetts has one of those and it's smelling heavenly right now also!

It's a locust tree.

I'm so glad you identified it for me - wonder if I can find one for sale around here?

Robinia pseudoacacia 'honey locust'

I love the sweet scents wafting in the breeze. I stop to admire the vibrant colors of all living things. And people think me odd. Then ODD I am!!!

Rugby, how did you know if it was a honey locust as opposed to a black locust??? Is it the way the tree is growing or it's regional location??? I don't know what kind my sister has.

Lynnie, I'm fine! I miss you too! I'm still having computer issues and can't do a whole lot with this one I'm using. Including IM'ing and downloading pictures. It's soooooo frustrating.

I'm also outside a lot , enjoying the beautiful weather this weekend.
