Does anyone recognize this flower? It grows in a low bush and is in blossom right now. It dies back completely every fall/winter. It's about 15 - 18" high. Purple flower (I hope the link works :)

Hmmm, resembles Cleome but the leaves are different. Could it be Bee Balm? Someone else should be along soon.

It is Centaurea Cyanus, known as "cornflower", "blue-bonnet", "bluet" Have a picture with the discription on my computer, but not sure how to find here "browser" to put the image... Well... You can read about this flower here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cornflower
