I just have a really bad feeling about this gardening season. The weather has been really goofy and I have already lost a few annual seedlings to frost. Today was cool but windy and cloudy and you would think it won't frost, but 42 is forecasted and it is supposed to get calm after midnight so I covered everything. Maybe I am overreacting but sometimes you have to listen to your gardener sense. I'll see what happens tomorrow, but at least I did my best!
Is anyone else experiencing a weird season? I can't ignore the bad feeling about this year. Maybe it is because I worked so hard at getting everything just right after I thought my garden wasn't going to work at all this year. I can't wait until morning! breakfast

Funny weather is right...we woke up to 2 inches of snow this morning. It went to freezing overnight but it seems the plants made it, my garden what's up made it through, but was I ever concerned. We need sunshine bad, it's been rain and more rain here and now the snow.

Rosepetal, I heard Red Deer got quite a bit as well. Nasty snow. Hope your plants pull through.

Tamara,
We got through ok, all the plants that I had outside are doing fine. It's still cloudy today, but we're hoping for some sunshine yet this afternoon.

Things are looking up maybe I'll get to plant some of the flowers in my flower bed soon.

OOOOOOh there comes the sunshine....what a lovely sight.

Well I was lucky. It didn't get colder than predicted. Even the little lone basil that was uncovered did just fine. It is supposed to be cold tomorrow night too so I'll have to decide what I feel then. Meantime I did not plant the rest of my peppers and basil just in case.
Sorry about the snow! Must be rough to have an even shorter season than I do. Everything is messed up.

I can't wait till I can work my flower bed a bit more. Got some done just before this last rain but it needs more work before I can do some planting.
