Hi everyone,

Long time!! I am hoping one of you may know what this plant is. It was given to me by my mother in law, but she cannot remember what it is called. I have not seen any flowers, just foliage. When you rub the leaves, they smell just like lavender. I really like this plant and hope to find out what it is.

Thanks Wrennie!

I am hoping your leaves smell like lavender also so this mystery can be solved! My MIL said she thought it might be bee balm, but was not sure. Sounds like you are on the right track!

Have a great day

Bee balm is also known as monarda.
I think the leaves smell a bit like oregano!

zoinkI smelled lavender. I guess my sniffer could be off kilter. It smells different now that it has bloomed. Thanks for your addition Lynne! It is good to know the proper name too.
