OP Thornius The Bird Man Joined: May 2005 Posts: 6,521 Nashville, TN	Took my grandson down to the horse pasture to feed the horses and for once did NOT have a camera so I made a written list of the birds I saw and/or heard. AND HERE THEY ARE! Red-tailed Hawk Killdeer Mourning Dove Belted Kingfisher Eastern Kingbird Tree Swallow Northern Rough-winged Swallow Barn Swallow Carolina Wren - Singing House Wren - Singing Eastern bluebird - Singing American Robin - Singing Northern Mockingbird European Starling Northern Cardinal Red-winged Blackbird - Singing Eastern Meadowlark Common Grackle Brown-headed Cowbird American Goldfinch 20 species of birds in an hour, and the Eastern Meadowlark was the FIRST I had SEEN in OVER 15 YEARS, although I have heard several over the last 15 years, just not seen them. Kingdoms RAGE and go to war...but the PEasants plant potatoes.. EARTH FIRST! (we'll strip-mine the OTHER planets later.)
