I just love the colors in this bromeliad, and hope you do too. You can see that it is sprouting 2 new babies - I've already removed 2 nice sized ones and planted them elsewhere. The interesting thing about 1 of the babies that does not get much direct light, is that it is much brighter green with no bronze coloring at all. This one is in an eastern window with only the very earliest of morning sun.

The tag is just generic, saying succulent.
Anyone know which bromeliad this is?

Thanks Penny and loz!

The mother plant measures 9 inches from tip to tip, and the babies measure 4 1/2 inches tip to tip.

Here are the 2 babies from that plant.
The first one is in a southern exposure window, and the second gets only light under a western window.

i have a link in my favs on my comp at home that has that particular plant on it - will look at it later tonight.

it's probably a sun issue - if you put it in a spot where it gets more light, it'll color up.

Nice pic Lynn. I don't know the name of your bromelaid either. What surprises me is you have them on your windowsill. shock Here in New Orleans, they are strictly outside and the more sun, the merrier! flwr
