I have kept a gloxinia going for years. Lost one this year, and have rooted 3 more from leaves. My leaves from the old one are not too big nor too small. I went and picked up a couple of new gloxinia's from the store, and the leaves are the size of my hand. I don't really care for them at this size, the leaves
are too big. If I keep them going every year, will the leaves grow in smaller, I hope so?

I love the look of these but haven't tried any in the last 30 years or so. I killed one that my mom brought home when I was a teen and I've never gotten near them again.

So the question is...How hard are they to grow?

I find gloxinia's very easy to grow. I have them in a south window, and don't bother or fuss with them outside of watering them.

I don't know where I got my first ones but the leaves on them were small, now the Garden Shop or stores sell them with leaves so much larger and I find they are breaking and getting in the way of the pot standing upright...
Someone said the leaves get smaller after they die off and come back, does anyone know about this?

I don't know about your question sorry. The one mom had the leaves extended over the side of the pot.
