I love Zinnias and Black Eyed Susans, but every year they get powdery mildew. Does anyone know if there is something I can do to prevent my flowers from getting powdery mildew? I use a soaker hose to water my gardens- so the leaves don't get wet and I try not to plant them too close.

I think they have some zinnia variteis that are resistant to PM now.Its more common when they are dryer.I don't get it much but keep mine watered daily.I think sulpher can be used as a preventive but have to be careful...can be toxic.

I should use my soaker hoses.....It takes me over an hour to water my plants.I own 2 soaker hoses(SH)
