8 years ago our builder stuck this stick of a tree in our yard and it is still living, although small, and we still don't know what it is.
I have asked various people and at the garden center but no one knows for sure. It is blooming right now and then it gets small, dark purple-burgundy berries. It is small for 8 years old but healthy. The scent is like honey. Does anyone know what it is?

Looks like my choke-cherry tree. Have you ever tasted the fruit on it? If so, what do they taste like?

Could also be a Bird Cherry (Prunnus Padus).

No I haven't eaten the berries. I wouldn't want to eat something poisonous. I will search choke cherry and bird cherry for some descriptions. Thank you.

I found this link that shows a picture just like the one I took. So I guess that is it! Thanks.
