I was just wondering if anyone had any special plans or traditions for mother's day? I don't get to celebrate mother's day for myself but I like to suprise my mom with little gifts. Hope all the mom's out there have a really special day on sunday!

well we (my family) usually get together at my sisters---that way we all get to get together--WELL in a very short span of time, both my daughters and my niece have gotten married, so now it is more complicated. This year we are all going over to my moms house,& we all bring food, and she has invited all her grandkids in-laws too. However, she did it too late & it is not going to work too well. But all the 'kid' generation will be around off & on so everyone will get to see everyone else eventually. And mom will be happy to have us all around--so it will all be good.

And Cheryl you have a good day anyway and thanks for all your good wishes.--I am sure your mom will be pleased too.

I have to work. How crumby is that? Will be working 10-7. Woohoo. Although, my daughter keeps trying to give me the gift she made at school and I have to keep reminding her that it isn't mother's day yet. It's quite cute.

I have to go to a relatives First Communion service in the morning, then another family(cousin) burial wake in the afternoon.

Thinking maybe we'll celebrate Mother's Day today.

yea I kinda am hoping I get some $$ to go buy plants with---I forget who (sorry about my memory) said they usually get money for MOM's day so they can go out & buy plants--& then they spend the day planting---how great would THAT be??
--Did I mention I told the girls not to buy me anything??--

I too have to go to church first tomorrow morning------And since I am in the choir at our church & we are singing---I will not be able to go to my daughter's church with them. boohoo

flwrHappy Mother's day to Everyone!!!! flwr

I get a shopping spree at the garden center as well but we won't have time to do it tomorrow, so it will be a late gift.

I just put money in a card for my mother.

I got my gift yesterday - UPS delivered me a pajamagram. PJs that say SuperMom on them. Cute.

My favorite thing to do on Mothers Day is for me and my 2 boys and husband to spend the day in the yard with them being my slaves for the day, doing yard projects. I don't get it every year - some years Neil is in the field - which I'm sure he will be tomorrow, so I already warned my oldest boy who is 9, that he and his little brother who is almost 4, will be my slaves tomorrow. :) I just like to spend the day outside. I visited my mom last night (an hour away) and brought her flats and flats of plants I started indoors.

Happy Mother's Day!

We went to my mom's for brunch and then to James' mom's for the afternoon and we ate dinner there. It was a nice day but one of these years I would like to stay home with Tristen and just spend the day with him.

That is great Triss! One of these years we will have to do that. I hate to upset anybody but Tristen and I would really enjoy that!
