My back is hurting. Too much bending over.
At some point I will need to go out and put new hummingbird nectar out. I have actually seen 2 hummingbirds. One yesterday and one today.

They grow too fast it seems Bestofour. All this rain is certainly helping the dandelions bloom.

I remember when he was just a little guy. They DO grow up far too fast. If it helps, my oldest Grand will be 11 this fall, then They stair step down to the youngest who will be 5 this fall. The triplets were just 7. I swear they were just born. Point is, life goes on. Perhaps if you put a brick on his head, and lock him in your closet ????

GB helped me all day today. We changed the old clothesline poles with new ones(just cedar poles we cut and peeled). Changed the oil in the lawn mowers and levelled out some parts of the lawn....I think I played him out.

He was proud as can be driving the lawn tractor(without the mowing deck)....DH was sharpening the blades for me. I let him drive it around while it was 'safe'.

Two days of rain and it's still raining and about 53°. I've got tomatoes, cucumbers, and dill out. Hope they make it. Still have okra seeds and basil to put out. Won't be dry enough for a few days if it ever stops raining.

Well rain is a good thing..and we should not complain..by July we will all be praying for rain. If it were me I would have a barrel or some other container to keep as much as possible. I now have to fill gallon jugs. My DH ordered me a rain barrel but it never came. So I do what I can. I will hope that your veggies make it.

Bestofour, it is feast or famine with rain. We have been doing well with the rain but the lower half of our province is scorching and battling wild fires. I hope your plants do o.k. I planted over 100 ft of potatoes yesterday.

I still have to pick up a few annuals if I can find some at a decent price. Well it might be better if you begin deciding just what amount you are willing to spend. That might go easier for you. I need one more annual..if I can find d a low growing one, and as you say, at a good price.

I only spend $20 on annuals each year...so that does not give me very much. The annuals at my local grocery store are $3 for a cell pack of 6 small plants or $3 for a single calibrachoa, geranium or wave petunia. I'll go today as I have to pick up a prescription for DH. Last year I put a tomato plant and pepper plants in some of my flower pots. They looked pretty as they grew. We are having a heat wave here for two days...then a week of rain is to follow. I am covered in bug bites.

That is a wonderful price for plants. I was lucky to have some gift card money that I used this year on flowers. I do need a few more though. I also plant in pots sometimes. This year it is herbs and flowers.

I just got back Junie, the annuals were on sale 4 for $10 no matter what you got but there wasn't too much left. I did get 6 single calibrachoa and 2 cell packs of dianthus. All the petunias, gazanias, zinnias and such were all gone.

Well I am glad you at least got something. There is a flower sale in Saturday I am hoping I can get Val to go there to see if I can find some more coneflowers.
