Maybe. Tina told me that she did have everything in place so that if anything ever happened to her, Teddy would be taken care. She already had Jonni listed as his caregiver, legally.
It is a rainy day here, a good day to clean and mop once again.

I only did it once with plums, I liked the apple better. I remember once, trying to make homemade plum sauce for egg rolls and no matter what recipe I used...it didn't taste right. The joke was on me, Chinese restaurants use pumpkin to make their 'plum sauce'.  Thanks for the update on Tina.

The weather cooled down here quickly, we are still getting a lot of rain though. We are under an advisory for Hurricane Fiona...it is supposed to hit Saturday, they are not sure yet though how bad it will be. Yesterday I spent all day painting our bedroom. I have all the bedroom furniture spread out in every other room at the moment.

The color is a light brown, it is called "Castle in the Clouds"...by Boomerang paint. The paint is only $20 a gallon and they have multiple premixed colors. Moving out the furniture and everything in there was more work than the painting itself.

Well I am sure the moving furniture was more work, but an empty room is ever so much easier to paint. I think it is good you went that route.

We are getting more warnings about Hurricane Fiona, and were told to prepare to be at least 72 hours without power starting this evening. Just a heads up if you don't hear from me...you'll know why.
We are prepared so there is not much one can do but wait it all out.

Another rainy day here. Yesterday I moved all my raspberry plants out of my garden bed. I planted two plants a couple of years ago and ended up with 27 to move. They spread too quickly for a veggie bed....but will thrive along the fence line.

Nope, I have never made a raspberry pie. By fence line, I meant against the wild roses that separate my property from the neighbors....the roses are on their side and are creeping over to mine, so I will share raspberries.

I have also made raspberry jam....but never the pie itself with just the raspberries but it can be done.

My deep freezer would be pretty easy to clean out at the moment....it is close to bare. With the prices on meat, it is impossible to 'stock up'. Mind you, once we butcher our pig it will be full.  Yes, please get a few of those yellow raspberry plants, they spread easily so they'll multiply very fast. The deer are back...and they are having a feast on the carrot tops in the garden. DH was amazed at the size of the buck tracks...now he is up through the night trying to catch a peek of how big he is.

It only took 2 hours to clean out the freezer. I just hated the Idea of doing it. But as I said, it is done now.
I do not know what today holds. But it is beautiful outside now. Colder but beautiful.

It's raining again today but I used the morning to clean out the entrance closet and pack away all the spring/Summer items. It holds the air conditioner and such.

I packed up a bunch of cards I was not ever going to use and sent them to Cindy. Then I changed sheets and I am on my 3 rd load of wash
I think you are right. Laundry grows while in the hamper

We're supposed to get some remnants from Ian this weekend. Hope it's not too bad. I am watching the news at the moment but they are still not saying where the storm is going after leaving Florida. Praying you are spared as well Bestofour.

The temps are going below freezing point tonight. I guess it is time to tackle some more outdoor chores since we are getting a few dry days once again.

I am watching the news on Hurricane Ian, it is devastating.

It was a nice, dry day yesterday. The grands lit a fire in the old washer tub and made smores....then they were picking up leaves to burn. I only have two maple trees in my yard but they were cleaning it up quite well.

We are getting a few dry days. The grands are not impressed that I washed the sheets to hang out on the line, they wanted to make another fire....even though they ate all the smores kit.

We got a nice amount of rain but thankfully that was all. Not so about Florida, Charleston, Myrtle Beach and more of the coastal area. Sad. Still haven't gotten up my potatoes. Gotta get that done.

The frost is thick but the sun shining on the colored leaves is so pretty this morning.  Next years firewood is on the agenda this morning.

You should have made sandwiches and potato salad for your supper... OR that dip you were telling us about. ..I bet you are tired to beat the band. I felt like I was getting a cold, buty DH convinced me it was my allergies. So...when my DD came by tonight to pick up up the kids.. She looked awful and says to me, I caught Nora's cold...SO...I bet I have a cold.

We're still having warm temps. Not hot but warm and we haven't had any rain, not a drop, since 10/2. We very much need rain.
Still getting tomatoes from the garden.

I took am getting tomatoes from my garden. It was cold a night or so then we get into the 80's in the afternoons and in the 50's to 60's in the nights.. I moved my dad's sage to the south side of my house from a pot. I was afraid that it would freeze out if left on the pot. Now I need to worry about it living in the ground. We have not had more than a sprinkle of rain for longer than you, Sheri. We are forecast to possibly get some rain tomorrow. I hope you do as well. Good night my friends

We are having a dry stretch as well but it is welcome, we needed to get outdoor chores completed. The only thing left in my garden is a handful of carrots. Our frost has been heavy all week.

Well, I hope you enjoy your carrots.
It makes me think of the carrots O made for the kids one time when I had them. I cooked them in butter and brown sugar. My Grandson said they were the best carrots he had had on his whole life..LOL...

It stopped raining here around noon. All we got was about 1/10 of an inch. Gracious
No where near enough to rain, but as the weather lady said, we will take what we can get.

Our rain starts tomorrow, we were lucky to have a week of dryness but it will be followed by a week of wet weather. It could be worse....when I think of what is to come soon.
