I need to do some painting. We had picked out colors for our interior right before Johnny died so I haven't moved forward with it. I can't decide if I'm going to stay here though so I'm not motivated to do anything.

We are getting more warnings about Hurricane Fiona, and were told to prepare to be at least 72 hours without power starting this evening. Just a heads up if you don't hear from me...you'll know why.

We are prepared so there is not much one can do but wait it all out.

Another rainy day here. Yesterday I moved all my raspberry plants out of my garden bed. I planted two plants a couple of years ago and ended up with 27 to move. They spread too quickly for a veggie bed....but will thrive along the fence line.

Ah yes, fence line is perfect. It gives them something to hang onto...question....have you ever made a raspberry pie ?

Nope, I have never made a raspberry pie.

By fence line, I meant against the wild roses that separate my property from the neighbors....the roses are on their side and are creeping over to mine, so I will share raspberries.

I was curious about the pie because one can make a blackberry pie so I was thinking, why not a raspberry pie......

I have made mixed berry pie...it has whatever berries are on hand. Many years ago I had yellow raspberries, they tasted like peaches...but they died out with our Winters(they weren't very hardy). I have also made raspberry jam....but never the pie itself with just the raspberries but it can be done.

GG has a dentist appt this afternoon, then I have to get a few groceries.

Oh I would love to try yellow raspberries, they sound delicious.
I am now hungry for pie.

Well we cleaned out my freezer today
As my MIL used to say, that's another job done.

My deep freezer would be pretty easy to clean out at the moment....it is close to bare. With the prices on meat, it is impossible to 'stock up'. Mind you, once we butcher our pig it will be full.

Yes, please get a few of those yellow raspberry plants, they spread easily so they'll multiply very fast.

The deer are back...and they are having a feast on the carrot tops in the garden. DH was amazed at the size of the buck tracks...now he is up through the night trying to catch a peek of how big he is.

It only took 2 hours to clean out the freezer. I just hated the Idea of doing it. But as I said, it is done now.

I do not know what today holds. But it is beautiful outside now. Colder but beautiful.

It's raining again today but I used the morning to clean out the entrance closet and pack away all the spring/Summer items. It holds the air conditioner and such.

I packed up a bunch of cards I was not ever going to use and sent them to Cindy. Then I changed sheets and I am on my 3 rd load of wash

The temps are going below freezing point tonight. I guess it is time to tackle some more outdoor chores since we are getting a few dry days once again.

It was a nice, dry day yesterday. The grands lit a fire in the old washer tub and made smores....then they were picking up leaves to burn. I only have two maple trees in my yard but they were cleaning it up quite well.

LOL...you got the to do work and they thought they were getting away with something. Good for you.

We are getting a few dry days. The grands are not impressed that I washed the sheets to hang out on the line, they wanted to make another fire....even though they ate all the smores kit.

We got a nice amount of rain but thankfully that was all. Not so about Florida, Charleston, Myrtle Beach and more of the coastal area. Sad.

Still haven't gotten up my potatoes. Gotta get that done.

I am glad all you got was the rain from the storm. That was the best outcome.
