Good grief Sunny. I’m down here with the a/c on. Can’t even imagine all that snow. I’ve found out one thing about myself. I’m not cut out to be able to retire to Florida and live am aimless life ( sort of ). I’ve got to be at least a little bit busy with something other than laying by the pool and riding a bike. If you hang around with old people all the time you start acting like an old person. I’ll be so happy to get home.

I tend to agree with you on that, Sheri. But as someone who lives in a colder area, I think I could be talked into living say in Florida from after Christmas until the end of February.. You know to avoid the snow and ice.

I guess Junie would like to be a 'Snow Bird' as well. I don't know where I'd want to spend the worst of the Winter but I don't think it would be in Florida...as much as I hate the snow, I dislike too much heat as well.

I am glad that you have things figured out Bestofour. Relaxation has its time when needed but a body has to be active to keep oneself sane and healthy.

Our storm has been down graded to half of what it was calling for, it will make for an easier day tomorrow with the clean up.

One thing about me being a "snow bird". It will never happen. And as far as me being active, with being so close to the grands, I promise I am active.

I will say though, without the daily living stress to plague these people, they are very nice and laid back. Nothing is done in a hurry (which would take some time to get used too) and they seem happy.

Yes, they are happy..at least the lady I knew from ceramics that used to winter down south, was. She would tell us of all that they would do with other friends of hers from there...Sounded to me as if they were all on permanent vacation.

I am on snow moving duty today. The banks are so high around my house that I am running out of room to put it all. My hand snow blower cannot reach the top of the banks anymore to put the snow up there....it keeps falling back down. I guess it is time to leave it fill in and create a claustrophobic atmosphere. I am so glad that April is around the corner.

I am finally caught up with the laundry and such that piled up while I was visiting my family. Yea !!

I had to have my dog put to sleep Tuesday so I left that house and came here. I'm not sure when I'll go back. Really nothing there for me anymore.

I am So very sorry for your puppy, Sheri. I know first hand how hard that is.

Now, in regards to where you live, we moved down by one of our daughters, when Rod retired. Sometimes it is best to be by a child. For my part, I think you might think about finding a house by Ginger. I know for me it was the right move.

On that note Carol, I haven't mentioned another horrible thing. Ginger's family is moving to Mississippi when school is out. It's 12 hours from me by car and from the looks of things on Google MS is a horrible place to live. Chris has taken a job as head master of a much larger school than where they are now so I'm sure it's lots more $$$ but as one of my friends said "it's not worth $50,000.00 more a year to move to MS" or I would definitely be looking to move down here. I'll be surprised if they like it there but he's signed a 5 year contract.

It takes us 2 days to drive to our other DD's on the east coast. We have not been there in years. I thank goodness for Skype. I completely understand your conundrum.

The snow was so heavy yesterday that I broke the impellor belt on the snow blower. I hope it doesn't snow any amount for a week or so until I get to pick up the new one.

It is cold and dreary today....it was a good day to give the house a scrubbing and mopping.

I hope your snow holds off as well, sunny..and that your roads clear...so that getting a new belt is an easy chore

The belt had to be ordered Junie, so I have no choice but to wait until it arrives at the hardware store. They are calling for a snow storm this Friday....I guess I'll have to use the tractor. (I dislike the blower on it but I'll have no choice but to use it).

I might go to the local grocery today to get some fresh fruit and veggies.

I wonder where Tina is????

I haven't been to the Farmer's Market in years. I really need to try go this year. Here it is only on a Saturday from 9 to 1.

We have 2 or 3 towns in the area that have farmer 's Markets in the area. And thankfully they are on different days. I think they will begin some time in May.. and yes they begin around 8 and go until noon or so.

and BTW I too wonder where Tina is.

Ah k, our market goes year round.

They are calling for a 4 day storm starting Thursday night....the new neighbors are fed up already. I'd never move without researching the area first.

Oh my...well I feel sorry for the neighbors, but I would like to think they would be used to the weather to some extent..

Sorry for the 4 day storm...I guess you had better try to go out for the fresh fruit and veggies are that you need.

They are from the province West us....by now, they'd have just a few inches of snow if anything. They jump 4 garden zones in a 14 hr drive South West from here.

Wow ! That is a change. And yes, I would like to think they would have done some research...unless they were following family ???
