The bottom half of our province has no power since last night, the wind and ice was too much for the power grid to handle. We faired better but they had to close roads due to the ocean surges. Today will be a clean and mop day. GG has the house fully decorated. They had no school yesterday due to the storm so she put up every decoration she could find.

The kids have no school tomorrow. They all thought they should get to stay here tonight because of that. Cora threw a fit..but they are now all home for the night.

Well,yes and no. Heidi says it's boring here..but that is usually when she wanted to stay with mom or dad. I think they like my treats and different toys.

I've been at Ginger's for a few days. Colt had his school Christmas play. I'm so glad he goes to his school. It's wonderful. We went to see Lights of the South tonight. It was beautiful.
Junie, I started wrapping a present before I left to come here but didn't get it finished. I can imagine with your crew you've got a lot of wrapping to do.
Sunny, not wishing bad things your way but I want the ice to stay at your house. You can send a little snow but no ice please.

Sounds like you had a great time, Sheri. That makes me smile. That Colt is in a good school just makes it better.
I stopped wrapping when I got my family in Virginia wrapped and mailed. (my bad).
However I did put most things in boxes so at least that part is done.
I really need to get my mom's Christmas bought. I have her birthday gift bought, but not her Christmas. Her birthday is the week before Christmas.

Yes, it was very sad to watch. Especially since we used to live in the Edwardsville area..( Well close by). But all the tornadoes went around us in this area one way or another, so me and mine are all safe. Thank goodness.

So true, their excitement was short lived though....it has changed to freezing rain once again. They were soaked right through their snow suits when I forced them to come back inside. It is a mess out there at the moment.

Our weather has changed so much over the past 10 years, we'd get a mild spell in January for a few days but nothing like this. It is in the 30's today...it never used to go above the freezing point in December.

Yes, and yet there are some who say climate change is not a real thing.
The weather is strange here as well. Freezing cold for a day or two, then up to the 50's to the 70's the next. It is a wonder we all do not have pneumonia.
