Speaking of dogs, once Andy gives up the ghost I won't get another one. No one believes me but I'm tired of dealing with the upkeep and I'll probably never find a better dog so I'm hoping I can stick to it.

See Sheri, that is exactly how I feel. I do not want to clean after a dog now eother.
Our "Dante" was a rare dog..he never went potty in the house .he knew how to act, never accidentally knocked over anything, was never in my way, I could have put my dinner plate down on the floor, and he would not have touched it. Also, he somehow knew the boundaries of our yard..(there were 2 for him to learn) but he rarely left our yards.

Our dog now...wants people food to the point that she won't eat her dog food, in the hopes she gets people food, and she gets as close to my plate as she can I am certain if I did not shoosh her away, she would clean my plate for me. Plus one of these days I am sure I will fall over her..and she loves to push her nose up against my legs ( and other places
Dante would never do that to me..as a matter of fact, when I was not doing well, he slept cross-wise in the hall, so he would know if anyone came close to me.
I will say goodnight now..sweet dreams.

Well, I have no friends here, and between the interstate and Covid, I cannot go shopping so I pretty much rely on TV to entertain me. It will be a sad place here in a years time. Goodnight and sleep well. See everyone tomorrow.

I cleaned up my garden last night...the only thing left in it is a few carrots for the momma deer and her baby that have been visiting through the night. It is a sad thing to see it empty but I am so thankful for the harvest this year....it was a bountiful one. We had a hard frost this morning...everything was covered white like snow. GG told me that we have to celebrate Fall as of today. Apparently that means I have to pick her up at school, take her to look for beach glass at the ocean side, then to pick leaves in the woods and then top it off with a feast at the local takeout.  (I think she planned it today because the kids told her the takeout closes tomorrow for the season)  Junie here is a pic of the new door that GG took for you.

Sorry for the garden clean up. I have like a few cherry tomatoes yet. I hope they have time yet to turn
I got lucky last night. My SIL gave me a small bowl full of his fall bearing blackberries. That sure was a treat !

I had to give in and turn on the electric heaters today....it is not cold enough to start the wood fire but damp enough to need a little warmth.

Yes, I hate this time of year for that..some days you need heat in the morning and A/C or fans in the afternoon..

Yes, you can't just turn off a wood fire after you get the morning chill out.
Sweet dreams all. Yes, especially with a small house like mine. You light a fire in the morning then have to open the windows an hour later.
