The coffee is about gone.

We are covered in a haze of smoke here.....all the way from the other side of Canada.

That will be on it's way for us as well. Right now the smoke is coming from uncontrollable fires in British Columbia.

It is so humid outside, I have never seen earwigs multiply as much as this year.....even the ants are in everything.

I never saw earwigs until I was an adult. And it's not for lack of hunting. There just wasn't much available in the desert. Not enough wet for them. They came with water in more abundance. Ants we've always had. Spiders, etc. I'm not fond of any of them in my house.

Not sure I have ever seen earwigs. I need to look them up.

My kids called the pincher bugs.

We've only had earwigs in our area in the past 5-10 years......they were unseen here before that. It's crazy this year, the ants and earwigs are in everything, we have an infestation of silvered leaf weevils as well. I put out ant traps but the foxes took them through the night(DH seen one do it).

I use DE, diatomacious earth for ants. It does not harm people or pets. I put it in the back of my kitchen cabinets and pack it around where pipes come into my house. Around pet food that I leave out for feral cats. You can see ants walk across it to get to the food. But they stop soon and crawl away to die. I try not to use it out in the open outside because it is a danger to bees and other beneficial insects. But I have used it in traps for snails and slugs I have sprinkled it on the feral cats and rubbed it in around their necks for fleas and ticks. Many more uses that I can't think of right now.

It's a hot day ahead.

It is going to be a hot day here too.

I have the girls. Henry is with the Boys. They are trying to dig a well for Brian's step dad.

A well? That's a lot of work.

A well is a LOT of work. I have no idea what they are thinking.
Although Val did say where the land is is not an easy access for a business to come in and dig the well.

I hope it works out, wells are over 200 ft here.

Another hot, humid day here. Paint won't even dry....many are complaining about the mess that they made.

I just finished watching a Good Witch marathon all day and then the series finale at the
