All fresh and new.  I am going to call about those allergy shots, why no one told DD about it for GB is frustrating. He suffers so in the spring. Thanks for explaining it for me.  The weather here is warm one day, freezing the next....remember 'Penny from Ontario'? They got a snow storm where she lives yesterday. I haven't talked to her in years but I remember she lived In Collingwood, Ont...they were showing pics of it on the news this morning, it was covered in white everywhere.

I miss many of the old people. But I do not miss snow. I agree with you, about missing many of the old people, Tina. I never miss snow....no matter where or when.

I know, I wonder often where many of our members are right now. GB planted up 'his' planter this morning...I'll have to keep taking it in at night time because of Frost but he wasn't taking the words of advice that we have to wait.  ~It is nice to watch the wee ones enjoy digging in the soil and flowers.

I still speak to Plant N pots and Dodge occasionally, and message Cindy rarely,
But that is all of the older ones I hear from.
I can just imagine him planting in his happy mood. And his Grammy helping him.
It makes me smile. You having to take the planter in for awhile of an evening is a small price to pay for that happiness and that learning experience, right ?

So true Junie. GG is in a panic trying to finish a book report that is due tomorrow. Remember when you had to sign a homework book so that you knew what needed to be done? Apparently they had two weeks to do it but 'no one' let any of the parents know...and what 10 year old pays attention to time lines? I'm not sure if letting kids be boss of their own school work is a good/bad thing.

Sunny  My Henry..has a book that has to be signed by whom ever helps him. I too think that is the best way. Your poor Granddaughter. And no I think schools should wait until high school to make kids 100% responsible for their own work. Ten is way too young. I hope she calms down enough to get her report done.

Maybe time for a calendar for GG. I kept one when I got into divided classes on. I do so much better even today with lists and such.

Bestofour, Yup, Plants and pots is Lynne and she does have a pond, she had a beautiful yard I remember. Tina, sad thing is that she does have a calendar but she can't remember anything long enough to write it down, she is a hyper child and has a hard time concentrating but she is smart as a whip. We finally finished the report last night...she said that half the kids probably won't go to school today so that they can finish their work. All the school kids have their big projects due today....and guess what? When the bus stopped to pick her up there were only two kids on it...and she is the last one to be picked up. On another note, I got my last calf born last night. A tiny baby girl....with white markings on her like her momma.

I am glad she got her project done, Sunny. Some people work best under pressure. I did that too. A calendar is only good for reminders when something is due. The 'whip' to get it done has to come from within. It sounds like GG may have found hers. It works well for individual projects.

Today is Memorial Day, Sunny.
So glad that GG got her report done. Sad that she was right about school attendance. But if she knows, so do the teachers, and they also know who does their work on time!

DH got his first vaccination today...with Pfizer.
I have been diagnosed with 'Covid arm' as well, my gland in my neck is so swollen as well....good old Moderna.

The pharmacist said it should start to clear up soon, if not then I have to do a round of antibiotics. They also said that they are only seeing Covid arm in women.

Afternoon all,
Just finished paying bills... so much fun but put it off a day to many already... we finally got to go see out kids in Colorado, dd's second to youngest graduated high school(was home schooled) and we had a party for him... was so nice to catch up with everyone and just see them all... we had our shots, one time being older helped. took my lysol and plenty of masks .. was happy to come home though... thats a long drive.. 3000 miles round trip...
DD has all her boys working at her store now, can't seem to keep people who want to work , can't believe the youngest is 16 already... time flies...
Well better get busy doing something about lunch or it will be supper time ... have a good day all!

We finally got a little rain and there's a small percent of a chance for the next few days; less than 50% each day but at least it's a chance.
My step dad has gone to the beach and I've been staying with my mother. He's right, that place is depressing and I can imagine it's much worse for him since he can't drive. It was his place of choice though and now he won't move so....

Yes rain is nice on occasion. We are predicted ☔ rain most if not all of next week.
Right in time to ruin all the wheat fields in the area. I so hope they are mistaken on their forecast.

I am sorry to hear of your mom's dementia worsening Bestofour. Will you be staying with her for a bit? We have started the process of bottle feeding our last little calf, I am now mixing formula three times a day....although I must say it is cheaper than what I expected it to be. I was surprised to find out that it only costs $45 for a months worth of milk. She is just too small to suckle from her momma and now her momma's milk is not producing. She should weigh at least 75 pounds at birth....she might be 45 pounds at best.

Happy Birthday Junie, I am hoping you have a wonderful day with your family and a delicious cake to celebrate. They sent the kids home early yesterday due to heat, we are having a 'freakish' 48 hour weather pattern go through...it was 104*F here yesterday. Our schools do not have air conditioning.

Two nights without power is enough. But the lines have been replaced nd all is well now. (I hope!)

Two days without power in this heat -oh my gosh! So glad it's back on Tina. While I was at Ginger's I went through McD's and got a chocolate shake, something I haven't done in 25 years at least. Was pretty good.
It's gotten soooo hot again and sooo humid it's awful out there. I need some shrubs trimmed but it's gonna have to wait.

It is 5:30 a.m. here and I just got finished watering outdoors due to frost in the air. The weatherman says that Monday morning should be the last frost for the season...I hope so. I'm sending down some cooler weather to y'all.

Sorry to hear that, Tina. I hope the upset tummy is short-lived. I will say that I felt crummy after my 2nd shot. Mine went away after a day or two. I hope that your upset goes.away no matter what caused it.

No rain here today...but supposedly there us a cold front moving in so perhaps it will bring some rain in with it. I am trying to talk myself into making pie..perhaps on Monday...if I have not eaten all my berries by then.
