I'll be waiting.

I have some kind of ground bees trying to nest on the side of the house....each one is making a little hole.

Tina, I have the energy.....just not the money. haha

I got a pic of the two calves this morning...I circled the little female in red(she blends right in). The cow is the 'old mother' in the herd....she is due next month.

No, that is just a reflection....she is fully red as is the little bull.

It is cold and damp today, might be a good day to get my baking done.

The daffodils are blooming beautifully now....and of course the 'pink frilly ones' that GG planted last Fall are yellow. She was dissapointed.

Good morning!

Tell GG that I had that happen to me about the daffs as well. I bought salmon colored daffodils with green centers. I was so excited. But I planted them near my yellow ones and yep you guessed it, they came up yellow. I have not bought a daffodil bulb since.

Your GG and I can be sad together.

The sad part is that it is the second time that she planted 'pink' only to have yellow, I guess we have all learned our lesson.

I was registered today for the Covid vaccine....I should be given the first shot in 4-6 weeks. thumbup

They said it will probably be Moderna...if not then Pfizer. DH has a blood disorder so he cannot have the AstraZeneca, since we will be vaccinated together....I get what he gets. thumbup

I got another baby bull yesterday....and of course DH was at work and she was having trouble. So, DH helped me by phone and I got to play 'Dr.Pol' and pull a calf. It was quite an experience.....and a messy one at that. I now need to buy new Summer shoes. lol

Well take care.when you get your vaccinations. Any reaction is short lived plus I found it easy to deal with as.I knew.what was happening.

Oh my, sorry you had to help with the baby calf delivery. And sorry for the need for new.shoes. But hey, now you get new shoes. And you kept the old ones to wear in case you get to play midwife again right?

I have never observed a calving in person, but lot's of videos. John would be recommending muck boots because of their ability of be hosed out. Good job, Sunny!
Have all your cows done now?

I have barn boots but I just 'forgot' to put them on in the commotion of it all. It was quite a learning experience.

Junie, I called him Fred. Tina, I have one more to calf in the first week of June but she is an old momma cow who has had calves before with no trouble. Bestofour, troubles calving is a normal thing with a first time mom it seems....especially if it is a bull calf.

That's great news Tina.

Junie, if the new calf is born on the 8th and is a girl....do you want me to name it after you? grin

It is supposed to be a 'Summery day' today. It will be a good day to tackle more outdoor chores...the list is never ending no matter how much one completes it seems. lol

Well of course I would.be honored.....you have to admit, it would be funny, to call a cow Carol every time you went out to care for your animals

Yay Tina. Glad you too are going to get the vaccination.

Yes, my hummingbird feeders should have been up at least one if not 2 weeks ago.
I really need to ask the neighbor lady what she does.

I am so very happy that you have yours out.

I have not seen any butterflies either.
