I had ordered seed potatoes and gave them away after Johnny died. I knew I wouldn't get them planted. It's so satisfying digging up full grown potatoes. Just something about putting your hands in the dirt and bringing up a beautiful potato.

Well I am in a mess. The tag on Johnny's van will expire tomorrow. It needs to be inspected. Colby is afraid to drive it. Tracy has hurt his back and can't drive it. Chris lives almost 4 hours away. What to do?

It's hard to believe we're in need of rain after the fall and winter we had but it's so dry and the wind made it impossible to even work outside today.

Thanks for the suggestions but I'm just going to man up and try to drive that thing myself. Might as well get used to being on my own. It's not raining so that's a plus.

Oh my bird feeders........I should have washed mine while I was washing my pots. I guess that job will go on my list huh ?

Sheri, you will do fine...I myself do my best not to drive in the rain or bad weather. I think it is just good sense.

And Sheri when someone is on their own, it is ok for them to ask for help if/when they need it....But yes, you will do fine.

I was scared out of my wits but I got gas and the inspection. I can't see out of the right mirror so I got in a lane and stayed in it and made it there and back.

My bird feeders stay out all year but I filled them up again this week and refreshed the hummingbird feeders.

Why cant you see out of the right mirror, Sheri ? It should be adjustable. Perhaps it is broken ?? So very glad that you got your inspection and gas. It will get easier, just give it time.

You are so lucky that you can keep your bird feeders up year round. The birds never have to go away...that must be so nice.

Goodnight everyone. Sleep well.

I don't know about Sheri's truck but with ours it took two people to adjust the right side mirror. The driver in place and a second to move the mirror. In, out, up, down until the driver can see. Now I'm really heading to bed.

We only have full size trucks here to drive, it makes me miss my little hatchback when trying to find a parking spot though. It takes some practice Bestofour. kissie

My feeders break in Winter from the cold so we just throw the seed out on the snow. I really enjoy watching the little yellow finches that have arrived now. I can see the feeder from the kitchen window so I get to enjoy them while washing dishes. lol

I am going to pick up GB at lunch time.

Gracious..kids can sometimes be a handfull, can't they ?? Safe travels to pick up Gb, Sunny.

Last night Heidi had wanted me to call her...last night did not work out, so I ask her today what she wanted when I went over to get the tomato plants that her dad had for me. LOL..She wanted a me to play a game with her. There us the pig that you feed plastic hamburgers to until he pops. That was a fun time.

flwr brag away ! flwr I think you should.

How many days were you talking of snow ???
Any blooming flowers need to be shared and celebrated.

Just keep the grands away from it. Cora picked everyone of mine when they bloomed. Good thing is, she brought them in to me.

12:07 am

Going to bed. Sweet Dreams.

Well, yes, we've seen droughts before. But the main difference here is it looks like it may not end. We may see a rare year of lots of rain but they will be rarer and rarer, Even my native plants are thirsty and failing, becoming fewer. Think of the dust bowl of the "30s and happening on a much grander scale. Climate change is not playing around.

Sorry to hear that Tina. All I know of this area is no matter the temp on the gauge, it feels hotter than that same temp would feel in Mid Illinois.

Good Morning , almost after noon time,

Came in to do my bills... or make sure auto pay is doing it's job.... should have done it yesterday but good old arthritis was making itself known yesterday... could barely move much... today woke up ok...

My computer decided for itself this morning I needed a new password... had just reset it a couple weeks ago and it wouldn't work so went thru that this morn... then paid bills and came here... I swear it has a mind of it's own....

It's been beautiful here the last couple weeks ... love sitting on patio in the early morn and watching the birds , of course Milo thinks the yard is his and tries to chase them away even it they are on the 6 ft fence.. evidently it's his too... he's happy when they fly away and doesn't notice when they just go to the other side of the yard ... silly dog he is ..

Hubby had both his cataracts removed, second eye is going slower than first but doing ok... has one more appt... then we can both go get new glasses and we can go to visit kids... they have had their shots and so have we ...and Derek has graduated now so we can celebrate that too.. no real ceremony but he didn't want to walk anyway... he is working at the store now and loves it... he graduated with a B avg --- so much for the school telling us he was unteachable.... best thing we ever did was put both of them in the online school...

Well off to dust and vacuum my house.... ignore it for a week and it looks like we deserted the place

Have a good day all....
Nana

I knew both areas of work were never done. It used to make me crazy that Rod would complain about the grass being needed cut once a week or more. Like the house, and the clothes, and the cooking were all occasional chores ?!

Very sleepy. I think I will soon go to sleep for the night. Sleep well my friends.
