The sun is shining...it looks nice out there. I'm wondering if Rod wants me to come over and cut the grass? While I would enjoy him doing just that, as I would come with him and we could visit while he cuts your grass, I am lucky to get him to cut our grass....and sad to say, he said he will have to begin cutting grass here as soon as the ground is firm enough.

I would invite you to come cut my grass, Sunny, except I don't have any.. There are some like wild oats growing on the hillsides that I cut during the spring and summer mostly to abate for fire season.

We got a few days of strong sun, it has been slowly melting the snow....now the grands are sick with allergies. Any symptoms of any kind means a 'stay home' order is in place. It is going to be a long spring at this rate....my grands have terrible spring allergies.

Oh, Ick. Sunny. Our spring allergies are down to a little runny nose thing, occasionally. No branching out to sinus infection territory or anything. I have Dimetapp in case it shows sign of taking over. Do you have meds that help?

I am taking flonase for my allergies. It does make a difference.
Sorry to hear that, about allergies and Canada. Here they just have to check for a fever.
Which works well for Valarie as her kids have seasonal allergies as well. No fever, then they can go to school.

Yes Tina, we have meds....it seems that he mold in the snow that melts affects people more than pollen.
GB fell last night after supper and cut open his chin, DD had to wait over 12 hrs at the hospital before they even checked him. By that time, the chin was so swollen that they had to squeeze it together and put in 4 staples. She called this morning to tell me that she was putting in a complaint against the nurse because she wouldn't even clean the wound and bandage it while waiting for the doctor. It is getting worse instead of better.

Oh my goodness, poor baby. I agree, I also think your DD should put in a complaint. I understand that ERs are busy, but yes your GB should have been checked out to see if he could wait. Everyone involved is lucky that GB was not worse off for the waiting. I hope his injury heals well.
Raining here...as soon as there is a break in the rsin, I may go buy stamps and a few cards I failed to get yesterday

Yes, about your weather, me too Sunny. It should be getting nicer now, not worse---Gracious ! Well I packed and packed Easter today. I addressed Easter cards, and took it all to the Post Office. I really should buy items that do not weigh so much.

Well at least the first storm is over. Let us hope that the next storm is not as bad as the last one. Our grass has been cut for the second time. Perhaps spring will come after all.

We've had a few storms lately too but not snow. We've had wind and lightening and rain. The colors in our yard are gorgeous right now.
Speaking of stimulus checks, Johnny got a notation saying his had been sent to his bank and if it's not deposited within 7 days to check at Where's My Payment. It's been 3 weeks now but when I try to check I get a notation that says something like "not enough information given". There's a phone number on the site but when I called it the recording says we have no additional information than what's on the website.

Today I finished Episode #4 of the game Valarie got me for Christmas. Now to wait for Episode #5 to show up..(right before Easter I think)
I have begun to clean the house for next weekend, but I wanted to get this episode of the game out of the way before I began my work.
Saturday is Valarie's Birthday...I will cook so she does not have to.

How are vaccines going in your area, Sunny? I read about schools on Vancouver Island having surges in their schools with lots of kids being infected.

I was wondering how the vaccination process is going for your area too, Sunny.
We are fortunate here. My DH and I both have both our shots, as do my DD Valarie and her DH, his parents, and his sister and her DH. At home, my mom, my sister, her DH, her DD and my cousin all have had both vaccinations. Life is looking up.

Junie, spell check got you again. Tina, vaccinations aren't going very well here...in fact the Western part of our province is on lockdown due to high cases, and it is in their high school as well. Our zone has had zero cases for a few weeks but that can change in a minute. Today is a clean and mop day.

Good morning. I think I'm going to get a grocery order today. I hope anyway. Tangela has been really hung up with her dad's needs. He went in the hospital with congestive heart failure last night. And has a couple of days there between tests and getting stabilized. That is what we hope for at least.

Afternoon all,
Just got back from picking up taxes -- we get back so that is a nice thing... better than paying... then sat down and did next months budget.. and paid a couple bills ... that part never ends... LOL!
Joe has dr appt in a few to see if he needs cataract surgery soon... hope if he does they will do it soon too... really want to go visit kids after we get our second shots... will wait at least 2 weeks after for a trip... unless it's bad again up there... people here don't want shots either... lots of people won't get them... we will be wearing masks for the rest of out lives I think....
Well I really need to go find some lunch... didn't eat much breakfast so need something soon in my tummy.... Have a good day all... !

Yes, congratulations on getting your shots, Sheri.
IMO you are right about the masks. Cape Girardeau county, the county next to us, has lifted the mask restrictions..but Scott County, where we live, has not. I just wear one, no matter what, IMO Better to be safe.
Most of my family at home, plus my momma, have had both vaccinations, so we will Be going home in a short time here to see family for the first time in a year. I cannot wait !

Tina, I am so sorry to hear of Tangela's dad. Sending prayers. Hi Nana. Junie, I think this mask wearing is a must in these present times. My mother called last night and said she was cooking an Easter meal on Monday....I'll take ham or turkey any day.

What should we bring on Monday, Sunny? Dessert....she seems to 'scorch' those. I have to pick up GB today, and pick up a few groceries beforehand. I am glad it is milder because it couldn't rain any harder if it tried...we are under a freezing rain warning for this evening.

Ok dessert it is..I.will bring a cheesecake. I have a new recipe I want to try.
I too am going grocery shopping. I need groceries for Valarie's birthday 🎂 on Saturday.
And the kids.will be here on Friday. Their mom has an appointment. So I need to do my shopping today.
Rod and I will be alone on Sunday. He thinks he would like to grill.

Hi again....
Just finished doing the lovely bills.... changed calendars , made sure auto stuff came out of the bank accts... really should clean my office it's a mess but will do it later...have Dr appt today later for a physical... always fun......
Hubby is scheduled for his cataract surgeries starting next week... he is looking forward to having better vision... both eye will be done by the time it's done and our shots will be good to so maybe we can go see kids.... will be so happy to get to go see them...
It's warming up here nicely in the 80's this week , will be nice for the Easter Egg hunts... miss doing that for the kids but the grands are to old.. and greats are not close enough...
The governor here in his great wisdom opened up the whole state to no mask req... some stores are requiring it but we intend to wear ours for the next yr or so , maybe more... to many no masker-no shots idiots here... at least the kids can get theirs now too..
Well off to start some laundry and get myself in the right mind for the doc visit... have a good rest of day everyone... stay safe and healthy.

Yay for getting groceries ahead of time,.Tina. It is good to be prepared.
I found another way to get to Cape Girardeau to shop, so yay. Now to feel ok
going into Wal-Mart. I have been in Target a few times but I think Wal-Mart has better prices.

Well, Tangela went with an oxygen tank in her car and picked up her dad. Got him home and settled him on his oxy machine and he took his xanax. Then the phone call. They wanted him back. It turns out they sprung him before all his tests were in. It turns out there is something up with his liver. So we're in hurry-up-and-wait mode again. Sigh.

I drink coffee all day long. I can't do that....every time I drink coffee I look for sweets and treats to go with it. I got all my bedroom housecleaned today....and decided to part ways with clothes that I will never fit back into.

Oh, I need my coffee. I only drink between 1 and 2 cups a day. But then I drink tea ( hot and cold) the rest of the day/night. I need to go to bed at say 6 or 7. I love to eat (sweets or salty) late at night...

Tina, I drink one cup of coffee in the morning and one cup of tea at some time during the day. I crave sweets with hot beverages so I limit myself.

Yes, Iced tea. I drink sun tea like water....I make my "sun" tea on my kitchen counter. No sun needed.....
I just drink the hot tea occasionally.

I don't particularly eat sweets or savory with hot or cold drinks. I just eat whatever is calling to me at any given time. And if it's easily available.

spring..well, the rain would indicate that it is spring...the snow not so much. It is overcast ☁ here today. I guess that is a good thing for my transplanted hosta's
