All fresh and new flwr

I have a kink in my neck this morning....it sure is an aggravating feeling. On a good note, I found an old pair of snowshoes at the barn....today I hope I can make the necessary repairs on them so that I can start using them for exercise.

Nice in here. all roomy.
It's funny. You're talking snowshoes and I just looked at my weather for the week and it's telling me upper 80's.

Good morning! Yes, very spacious and comfy in here, Sunny.

Apparently all of our weathers are all over the place...according to my weather app it is now 34*F here and will only get up to 44* today. 80 sounds heavenly, Tina. Good for you !

Yes, about the Celsius thing. I have noticed a large number if recipes have been being posted in metric lately. I said something about it and I was told to go online and convert the amounts....well that is all fine and well, but they are teaching the kids in pounds and inches.......imperial measure ?? And I remember in grade school being told our country was going to convert... our system..yet we did not....

Good morning. They tried to get people to move to grams and meters but we resisted too much. I think in pounds and cups for the most part. But when needed conversions are a finger tap away. It's all a bushel and a peck or a ton or a tonne.

You know, if I could bring it to you I just might. It would cost you a cup of coffee though.

Good morning....I just signed up with my counties health department to get the covid vaccine. Perhaps I should have waited for my local pharmacy or my Dr. to offer it...but at least I am on a list now

Speaking of groceries, someone's got delivered to my front porch today. A person was here trimming shrubs, knocked on the front door, which we rarely use, and asked if I realized I had bags of food on the porch. There wasn't a list or receipt in any of the bags, which I've always gotten when I order online from my store. These groceries were in WalMart bags. There were 20 bags and some of the stuff needed to be refrigerated. Surprised it was left on the porch. He was outside all morning but didn't notice anyone dropping it off. The stuff was still cool to the touch and the butter hadn't melted. I tried to call WalMart 3 times to tell them someone was going to be calling them mad and ask when they were delivered but couldn't get through. I knew they wouldn't re-deliver the same groceries but the shrub guy took them so I hope they're safe to eat.

That "sort of" happened to me before Christmas...a delivery guy luckily rang the door bell, and so we were able to tell the delivery guy he had the wrong house. Clearly, he thought we were wrong, but he finally picked back up the bags and left. That too was a large order. I hope it got where it was headed

Good for the shrub guy. I heard a similar story from someone else. She found a delivery on her porch. She did find paper work in it though so she bundled it up and hauled it in her car to the correct address. The driveway was in sad shape she couldn't drive up it any further in her small electric car. She went back home, called the store and they told her to keep if or throw it away. Free food!

I read back...I wish someone would deliver me free food, or as a matter of fact even food I had to pay for. lol

It took me hours today to arrange curbside pick ups....I do this every ten days, even then it is a pain. My local store won't do curbside and there are cases in our area again so I refuse to go in. I have to drive an hour to town to get someone to 'curbside' for me....it is frustrating.

I have delivery available, I guess. But I'd rather pay Tangeia a few hundred a month to help us both. And I get my preferences most of the time.

Yes I agree..it is worth it to get what you want in the sizes you want... It am so happy that you have her to help you.

Valarie will do for me, but she rarely lets me pay her back, SO I try not to ask her to help.

I would not allow Tangeia to help if she wouldn't take pay for it. Or anyone doing for me. Tangela is driving up tomorrow and picking up Jonni to take her shopping for us. She is no longer sick with Covid but tires so easily. So she will wait in her car while Jonni picks up a few things. .

When I say Valarie won't let me pay her, I mean for what ahe gets me as an example,.I asked her to pick me up some dry eye drops..well she thought it was easier to order them ( she has prime) and when they got here there were 3 boxes for $27.00. AND she is "not worried about me repaying her" this has been the case several times...so what I try to do is hand her an envelope with cash in it as she leaves my house when I give her a grocery list. This time I will add up what I owe her, and next time I am in town I will get some cash and take it to her, once again, in an envelope,...she does not usually give back cash.....and if she tries, I say, I am your mom...take the cash and say thank you, Mom....

So glad you have Tangela to help you all. Also glad she is feeling better. I imagine you are very happy about that as well. Congrats on that

Tina, Jonni doesn't drive? I've heard people say that the fatigue is one of the worst things about this virus and for some it takes a while to get over. Glad Tangela's on the mend. How's her dad?

Darbi and her boyfriend have been dating for a year. This is a record for her and I'm wondering if he's the one.

Shelley's main complaint with ordering WalMart groceries is that they'll make replacements with stuff that's not even close to what she ordered. Like if she orders Oreos she may get Fig Newtons.

Gracious, about the groceries. Have I said? On my Wal-Mart orders, if I wont allow substitutions, what I ordered is out of stock...if I will allow substitutions, they are ALWAYS substituted with Great Value...They are both bad substitutes. After all, if we are paying for the groceries, we should get whst we ordered, right ??

That sounds promising, about Darby. How old is she these days, Sheri ??

I am glad Tangela is on the mend...praying her fatigue is short lasting.

We are getting a bad snow storm tonight into tomorrow. The crazy thing is that we only have a foot of snow covering the ground now, the mild temps and rain took it all away. I guess it is time to finally say hello to our real Winter. lol

The hay shortage in our province is extreme, I am getting calls from people who have no clue who we are....just hoping we can sell some. It is sad to say no to them but I have to have a reserve for my own animals in case of a long spring or bad Summer ahead. A normal $40 bale is now selling for $135....and that is if one can find it.

I remember years ago people around here were going as far as Texas to get hay for their animals. I imagine now it will be the other way around.

It's a little above freezing here but the wind is unbearable so I've been inside all day.

I'm sorry it's so cold, Sheri.
Quite a few of our larger grain farms have been bought by the middle easterners. They grow masses of timothy hay and send it all back to their countries It makes me mad.

Yes, sorry it is so cold for you, Sheri. I hate the cold so much, I have often wondered why I have remained in the mid west my whole life. Just keep thinking spring. It will get here sooner or lster, right ?

Tina, that us very disconcerting about the hay. We should take care if our own first..but then I guess the people who come from foreign lands and buy holdings in the US do so thru third parties and the seller had no clue who they are actually selling to.....

Goodnight everyone.
Although I am so close to finishing my latest book that I may be up awhile yet.
