We are looking to cover an outdoor fence about 7 feet high in partial sun with an evergreen vine. Our son has a significant bee allergy so we are looking for one that has a very short flowering season or has a flower than does not attract bees. One that is not toxic to touch or dangerous for kids to be around. Preferably one that is more leafy than woody/stemmy. A low maintenance vine is a plus. The plantar in which the vine would be planted is about 2 feet deep and 70 feet long. We live in Southern California close to the coast. What would be your recommendation? Thank you!
Some options we are considering:
-Red mandevilla
-Creeping fig
-Grapeless grapevine
-Bower Vine
-Carolina jasmine
-Passiflora
-Beaumontia vine
-Bouganvillea

I grow carolina jasmine but it does attract some bees although not a lot that I've noticed. Here in the south it is fast growing and doesn't require any upkeep in that it lives through drought and rain. Our temps get into the low 100's sometimes and we have extreme humidity. I've never planted it in a pot though. Mine is in the ground and is covering a fence that is probably 7 feet tall and 10 or more feet long. It is evergreen and blooms in the spring, although I noticed today that with the strange weather we've had lately it's blooming right now.

As far as a mandevilla; in my area I've never seen them used as a fence cover unless it's a very short, in length, lattice type of fence. They are used here to cover mailboxes and home light posts.
