Ok try # 2

I think my girls are done having children. The little one knows for sure she is done..# 5 is not a.possibility.
My DD that lives here will be much more than surprised if they have # 5.
and she and her DH are 40.. So I hope they are done...They hope they are done.
Here is how it goes:

My youngest DD had a son in Sept. of 2012

Then in 2014:
My DD who lives by me had a son in April
My DD who lives on the east coast had a second son in October

In 2016
My DD here had her triplets in Feb. (Supposed to be May)
My DD on the coast had her 3 rd son in October.

Then on 2018
My DD on the East coast had her Daughter in October. (she likes October)

So now I have 4 Grandsons and 4 Granddaughters.....it sure is interesting I will say that.

Sheri...I will have to read your post a few more times to get your family straight. But I will Say that I am impressed that the schools are doing so well. That makes me happy.

Tina: Glad that you are back up and running.....Poor Teddy. I bet he was really upset.

40 is not too old to have a baby. I had 2, one at 40 and 8 months, and another at 43 and 5 months.
You write all that info and I'll still ask how old they are constantly. I struggle to remember how old my kids are.

Good morning. It's hard to find real current info on local fires because so much is going on. But the el dorado fire has slowed and is 44% contained.
Celebrations do not include fire works of any sort.

My grandmother had her last child at 46(she had her first at 16 and her seventeenth one at 46). You are Supermom's to do it over again at those ages kissie

I am painting the closet today, much to DH's dismay...he hates the smell of fresh paint. I told him it could be worse, I could be making him paint lol

My grandmother had 12 children...13 really..the first did not live long after birth.
Her last was born when she was 48...in 1934.I must have the year she got married wrong..as if it is right, she was 27. I think that was an old age to get married by back then.

I think if you add some vanilla to the paint it cuts the smell a lot.

It would take more than vanilla for this paint Tina, it is a 'pre-recycled' paint that is sold at discount prices....my gosh, I never smelled paint so awful before but it covers well. I had the windows open but it is down to 37*F outside so I had to close them.

Your grandmother must have been waiting for the right guy to come along Junie. thumbup

You know, I never asked how they met. And now there is noone to ask. All I really know about them is my grandmother's parents were postal clerks, and she worked in their post office. And then Grandpa took her back to live in England at one point. ( he grew up in england and came over with his brother when he was 14.)
From what she said it must have been some type of slums, he took her to as she said she would put her wash out on the line, and the neighbors would steal her wash...So she said, nope I am not living here..and they came back to America.

You know, I thought I was asking things but there was so much that I did not ask. Sad really.

Good morning. I've had the weather channel on all mornung but without sound. I guess the Sally has hit on the border of Mississippi and the Florida panhandle. It has already been a huge rain event since before it hit. I wish we could have a little of their rain. Just a fraction.

Not too much rain though. That causes more destruction than help. Light to medium rain with some gaps to let it soak in or it washes the new naked land right away from those burnt hills. That makes mudslides. Not a fan of those either. Climate change is the pits.

Oh yes, of course, no rains that cause issues or mudslides..just enough rain to put out the fires. I agree about climate change.

I hope rain falls soon for you Tina, your state cannot stand much more of this drought.

I went out today, for the first time in forever....just to a few stores but the sight of people not wearing masks or distancing was ridiculous.

I agree with you, Sunny. There are a lot of people here who do not wear masks. They did make wide circles around each other though...well a lot of them did. I dont know what they are thinking but I wish they realized the good that masks do.

Our weather is cooling down quick, we are starting to go below 32*F through the night now. I am in no hurry to see flurries anytime soon.

I guess it is time to dig out and separate the daffodils...I'll add that to the chore list for this week. thumbup

Flurries already? Do you have to dig up the daffodil bulbs to keep them from freezing or just to divide them?

Good question...I leave mine planted. They only get dug up to move or divide.

Bestofour, the digging of daffodils is just to divide them....they stay in the ground all Winter here. When they get thick with foliage and less blooms, I know they need to be separated in Fall.

We had a hard frost this morning....everything is fully white out there.

It's still raining here but it's know where near to frosting. Fall is coming though because the camellias are full of buds. I love looking at their blooms when it's freezing outside.

Forgot to mention that we leave daffodils and every other bulb in the ground unless dividing too. But my sister, who lives in Asheville, NC, says they have to dig theirs up or they'll freeze. They're 2-1/2 hours from here in the Blue Ridge Mountains and have much colder weather than us but I can't imagine it's colder than Sunny's. Maybe the magnificent tree coverings keep the ground cold. who knows.

Good Morning.

Sorry for the frost, Sunny. I love fall, but not the winter that follows.

Sheri: I think we have to dig up gladiolas each fall here. But other bulbs just get dug up to divide....Now, if I lived in such a beautiful place as the Blue Ridge Mountains, cold would not be a problem. Your sister is a lucky lady.

Sheri, daffodils are the only bulb that we can leave in the ground....every other variety must be dug up.
