That is an idea, Tina, thanks.
Tomorrow night I think I will see if my hose reaches to my blackberries.
If they do not, I will go with your idea. So thanks.

I am back, it wasn't much of a tune up because he did not want to fully delete everything but he did take out the other two internet programs that was fighting me when I want to use Google Chrome only. My computer is a bit faster but I still have the spinning blue circle. Oh well, I should be happy to at least have access to the internet. thumbup

I am sure noone wants to know chiggers. My take in them is they are smaller, more
"plentiful" mosquitos. They make the latter seem like no problem at all in comparison.

I use a " the bug thing" on mosquito bites, and that pretty much handles them. I guess I should try to see how they do on chiggers.

It is a small plunger sort of thing. You put the opening over the bite and pull up on it. It sucks the bite up and I guess it removes the "poison" so to speak. I will go down in a bit and find a link on the laptop and leave it to you

I do not think you can buy them out and about....I think they are an online thing. At least they were back when we bought ours.
Person here in the US invented them. ( as I recall)
Rod ordered one for us and one for each of the girls. I love it.

Walmart says they're in stock locally, Carol. I'm not in a hurry. I don't go out and mess with plants much anymore.

I was up for most if the night. I finally used nail oil on the chiggers to help stop the itching.

Drinking 3 rd cup of coffee. Light gentle rain here. Just what we needed.

Hi all, GG has her annual pediatric appt. today. It is a private clinic so it will be the same procedure as the dentist...wait in your car, then they take you in one at a time. At least I will get a curbside order completed at the same time. I wonder what the inside of stores look like now? I am going to ask them to take pics to share with me. lol

Yes, in store shopping is allowed at most but not all places. Our local pharmacy is still closed for pick up only. The problem is that I have GG anytime I go anyplace so I will not take her in anywhere. We went to the doctors visit today then did a curbside hardware store pick up and a McD's drive through window. There was a case that popped up last week just a half hours drive from here...so I'll sit and wait it all out.

Hi all, we have open stores here but we I have been home for 4 months now... hubby does shopping ... goes in masked and gloved.., comes home and washes , leaves what he can to air in garage, brings it in after a few hours... oh yes did go and do blood tests once .. waited in car and they called to come in... new world we live in right now... they had 350 new cases here in AZ in last few days... so we are in the hot spot in AZ, no matter what news says...

Well good news is my kids and kidlets are fine, worry about them in grocery store all day... but they clean very often and wear protective gear too.. son in law isn't doing to well he had a kidney stone and then other symptoms but after it passed they sent him home cause it's safer there, with oxygen and home visits to test to see what else is wrong... hopefully he will get better soon.. Well off to get a late lunch and see what else I can find to go.... rainy day here so may go sit outside on my swing and read awhile..

Nana

Good plans all around. I had a remote visit with Teddy's Regional Center worker today. It is quite funny to have a telephone meeting. This is a new worker for him and she really learned more than his records showed her. So we are good for another year or so.

Well, I had to explain that when there is a lot of walking involved, Teddy needs a wheelchair. There was nothing about his knees in his records. That is bad record keeping.

I am glad that you have them up to date Tina, poor record keeping is a disaster.

Our heat is gone, it went from the high 90's down to the low 30's this morning....frost is everywhere.

Good late morning.
I am taking a break. I've been sorting and moving things, gingerly. We had a wakeup last night when Jonni went onto the deck for something. She heard a rattler and looked around and saw it a few feet away from her. Then she lost sight of it before I could get in the room with her. Today is rattler hunting for us.

Oh gosh a rattler. Hope it's gone now. Do you see a lot of them like we do black snakes? Makes me appreciate my black snakes.

Gosh Sunny what happened to fall? Or is 30° considered your fall? Still summer here.

Our stores are open. Supposed to be at 50% capacity but I haven't seen anyone monitoring things since the very beginning of this mess. My sister went to see her daughter close to Atlanta last week and they went to The Mall of Georgia (I think) just because it's so big and my sister wanted to see it. She said she couldn't stand it because it was so crowded. I hate mall shopping anyway so have no desire to go.

Or, I do not like huge malls or crowded places, either.
No the snake is still hiding or went out the way it came in. We'll keep the deck closed off and be very careful when we go out there. And no, I have never seen a rattler in the house before (30+ years). But Jonni did see a small gopher snake in the kitchen this past spring. I have only ever seen 3 here outside. None of them survived the meeting.

Gracious..that is very bad news about Malls. There are a few stores I would appreciate going into here at our Mall...at least before Christmas...But I do not want to go into a crowded store or Mall either. So glad you said something Sheri.

I hope the snake is truly gone, Tina. Gracious, that whole scenario is just scarey.

Has it heated up there any, Sunny ?

Tina I would have had a heart attack! ... for someone that has lived in snake country most of my life I hate them and they terrify me... when we took apart our old deck in Littleton to rebuild it there was a 6 ft rattle snake skin from a molt under there... took me about 3 weeks to go outside in the back again.... and it was just the skin! haven't seen any here , just lizards and rabbits.. but Milo chases them off or at least away.... We just had a short rain storm... hard for about20 minutes... hubby waited an hour then mowed... humid right now , but cool so have no a/c on... love this time of yr... sure helps the elec bill.... LOL!

I just did my monthly set up for the bills... should clean my office now and file all the crap... what happened to the paperless society they said we would have by now... got more now than ever before I think... well told hubby I would make him a typed list of all our movies... don't know why he wants it but he does... so now I have to figure out a good way to make it able to be added to cause he keeps buying new ones ... so have a good evening all... this day has gone by quickly for some reason......

Nana

It was kind of exciting but not scary, Sherri. Jonni was a little more excited because she was actually withjn striking distance.
I can't tell one kind of snakeskin from another. And my dog hated snakes of any kind. Even snakeskins blowing in a breeze.
So now we have bobcats too. I was trying to nap and Jonni woke me with an excited whispery thing. She said bobcat and a kit. So I had to get up and look too. She opened a window and grabbed my cphone to take pics. I said another baby. And then a bit later comes a third cub with a ground squirrel in its mouth. It ran off up the hill behind the gazebo with its kill. I guess it didn't want to share with its siblings. The mama and baby One laid down in the shade. Baby Two was playing around nearer the house. Then baby three came into view with its dinner. They hung around awhile checking us out too. Then got up and sauntered off by the gazebo to see if Three left them any scraps.
Beautiful animals.

Yes they are beautiful... was out at inlaws last summer. we were sitting in barn just chatting away with big doors open... and a bobcat came up to open doorway... about 20 ft from us and watched us awhile and then sauntered off.... glad he was so mellow... he has 20 acres of desert out there and all sorts of wildlife... saw deer too at their pond one morning , couldn't let dogs out alone because of the wild life.... and when we walked the trails we had to carry a big stick and a pistol... wild pigs were the scariest, they will attack and have poor vision to boot...

Well off to eat dinner , bbq , so nice today!

We have bobcats too. They kill deer but never seem to eat them. Are they like domesticated cats and just kill for fun. I carry a gun when I walk too. Not so much for bob cats but because one of my neighbors has pitbull's.
