Beautiful pictures, Sunny. And exceptional plants. IMO you did an exceptional job with the landscaping there in the front of your house ! Hostas must like the weather where you live...well the weather you usually get.

Thanks. I am waiting for the plants on all the other sides to mature...the front was done so many years ago but the last three sides are quite sparse.

Hostas do amazing here...I have a few other varieties on other sides but they are still small yet.

Yes, I thought it was early for flowers as well. Perhaps it is because I now live further south ?

The brick is nice..thanks... Personally I dont care for the brown rock...but then it is what they chose. Good thing it is sparce in that particular bed..it makes planting my flowers much easier. At home I used a rock called Alabama sunset. It had red-ishes..and and dk blue rocks...still many colors like this but no browns.

Thanks though for your kind words.

My hostas have been flowering for a while. I worked with a woman who liked hosta plants but didn't like the flowers so she'd cut them off every year. Weird people.

I cut the flowers from my two variegated ones in the front Sheri, they grow so spindly that they fall over by the time they bloom. I bring them in to flower in a vase.

That sunflower isn’t sideways in real life and no matter which way I turn it it’s sideways on here. Don’t know what I’m doing.

Still a nice sunflower !

Below is my lone Surprise lily. There should be more. We will see.

The other dieing p!ant in the circle is the yucca plant that we thought that we got rid of.
It will be gone sooner or later.

A hurricane lily..I like that. I figure it just took them awhile to get used to the transplant to S.Missouri.

They are meaningful to me..so I am hopeful.

GG has been slipping on taking pics for me lol

All the 'black eyed susans' are starting to bloom here, they are pretty but it means the end of the blooming season for everything else.

Sunny I love black eyed susan's. Mine have been blooming for a while. I cut them for inside and they stay lovely for a long, long time.

You and GG need to get busy with the camera please.

Interesting place to plant it, up against the house, because it's a tree.

Polite way to put it.
You will have to talk to the lady who used to live here. She now resides in Florida....I
But no worrirs, Rod says he needs to trim/ prune it this fall. From what I have read, that could well kill it.
She/They did a lot if "different" things in the house and the yard. I could complain for hours.

I hope it doesn't kill it. I think if pruned property they can become more bush like than tree like. Ask Rod to read up on it first. They volunteer here like weeds so we have two that we didn't plant and we leave them alone. Actually wish I had noticed them before they got too big to pull up. I love that color.

She gave me that for my birthday. I have sprayed it. I hated to use it but she said "you need to use it for your flowers." She's the only one of my grans that loves flowers like I do.

Well then, to use it was the thing to do, Sheri.
Yes Sunny I agree. Perhaps I will tell Val to use that idea as a gift.

I also have a couple of garden stones with their hand prints. You can buy kits at Michaels or Hobby Lobby. And I have a wall in the toy room with their hand prints from when they were tiny people. One day I guess I'll have to paint over all that.

Nope, Sheri, you do not have to paint over thst. Put up open frames to make them look lime pictures. Then you can paint the rest of the room.

Sunny, great flowers ! Good for you !

Good idea Junie.

Remember the pot of marigolds on steroids? I don't know exactly what happened but something or someone jumped through the middle of them and broke and bent the stems. They were too tall for an adult to do it unless they feel over the pot. The pot and flowers together have got to be 5 feet tall so why would an adult do that. It sits in between 2 raised beds so it's not a place someone would be walking through.

That is just sad Sheri....I will hope it was a cat or some other animal.. But sometimes you have to wonder about people.

Below is a photo of my volunteer petunia. Complements of a bird I guess.I took it this morning.
