That is sad, Sunny. I hope it was natural causes and peaceful passing.

I am so very sorry for the passing of your DH's boss, Sunny. I am sorry that I missed that in your Earlier post, Sunny. That is just terrible news. I do hope it was natural causes, as Tina said.

Hi all,

I agree with the not panicking , but I think stocking up for a quarantine is a good idea.. we aren't going crazy but we have the room and will use it no matter what... hubby went out and said shelves are emptying of a lot of stuff here already... keep in mind , very small town... mostly retired and military , only 3 major grocery stores and Walmart for food supplies .. would much rather be prepared and not need it than the opposite... hubby is much healthier than me so he does the going out for stuff,,, I go once in a while but doing want to chance getting sick either.. a cold can knock me down for a month! But I am taking my meds and my doc already sent out a voicemail to everyone on daily meds that she will get the pharmacies to issue extra meds if it is made official , she said most insurance plans and medicare will allow it if a quarantine is in place.. that's good to know I take 4 scrips daily... have plenty right now but you never know.. hubby takes one too .

I talked to my youngest today, she is a bookkeeper at her grocery store now so less interacting with customers but they have enacted rules about cleaning the registers and not touching others... so glad... really glad her two youngest are home schooled too.. especially the youngest , he catches everyting… she said she makes sure the 3 of them that go out to work daily take showers the minute they get home... I sent her enough money to get extra cleaning stuff too... helps she works in a store, gets what she needs that way...
Well better go.. hubby made us burritos and Spanish rice for dinner... have a good evening all...

Yes, Nana, I agree it is only.prudent to stock up. Even if we are not quarantined, we may think staying in is the better idea. Not to mention the possibility of price gouging.

I am going to talk to my Pharmacy and see what their stance is. I need to fill my meds tomorrow.

It is so quiet here. We had the kids until 6:30-40. Val, came to pick them up. They are gone. Rod left to help Brian at a bit before 6. I am loving the quiet.

So we're all in agreement. No panic. Do prepare for a possible quarantine. Be prepared for self-quarantining if it is politically necessary because it's all around you. I am very glad we are in the same club here.

Yes, I am glad as well. I will need to go out again tomorrow to check on the Pharmacy as I said. I may also buy some OTC items while there.

I wish us all a safe and healthy upcoming year.
Sweet Dreams to you all.

Amen to that. thumbup

They tested a few from our province yesterday...we are waiting on the results.

The sun is shining, so that means it is cold outside....I need to do the barn work in a few minutes. Someday's I wish the animals could feed themselves

I think I need to reevaluate what foods I have need. I think I need to stick for more than the few weeks I have. A new list is being prepared. I thank the Lord we all have each other to talk this out with.. Praying for the people they tested in your province, Sunny.

Rod made coffee.

Good morning. I've got some chicken and cheese and tortillas to fold into burritos for my freezer today. That is about all I may get done towards pandemic supplies this day. But every little bit helps.

I love chicken fajitas.....especially when I overload them with cooked green peppers.

I got out to the local grocery store and filled up the pantry with non perishables....they'd be used in the coming months anyway.

For some reason my DVR is not recording my soap....well it is, but it will not show up for say 24 hours. This has only begin to happen in the last week or so. why

I am all well now, but my stomach still does not want food in it. When I eat, it stays down, but my stomach hurts for hours after I eat now. why

Goodnight everyone sleep well. wavy

Yup, soup is a must have when you have a stomach bug.

It is freezing outside today, it seems the harder the sun shines the colder it is touched

Bless you all for being so kind. I will try to be watchful. Already I should not have had the coffee. It tastes wonderful, stays down but tears up my stomach.e

Sorry for the cold, Sunny, but glad you have a warm and toasty house to stay in.

I will wash more clothes today. I wish I could be alone in a room for 10 minutes with the man that designed this HE washing machine. He does not deserve to live. I washed 3 loads of clothes yesterday, it should have been 2 but The water level is so low that I have to put in small loads, then 3 loads was all I got washed. I finished the last load at 6 pm. I should be done. Back at the farm and in town, I could wash 6 or 7 loads in a day..And they would be CLEAN.

Rod is sick, the girls are sick, and Val is sure that "all the hand sanitizer and soap in the world will not keep me from getting this virus".(It is a 48 hour stomach flu kind of thing)

So I said that I have already had it, So if she gets sick I will come and take care of you all...And I will.

Goodnight, sweet dreams wavy

Thanks to both of you.

I changed what clocks I had to as well. I love Daylight savings time. Light at evening time is the best. Now my mind is on planting. I hate Burmuda Grass. I would have had the planning done last year if not for that.

Good morning. I slept in late for me. 5:30. It feels otherworldly. I will get use to it soon enough.
But it was just 4:30 by yesterdays standards so... And I got to watch the sunrise.

You make me smile Tina.
I Love to sleep until like between 7:30 and 8:30 in the mornings.......mind you on at least 3 mornings a week I get up at 6:30....
While I too like to see the sun rise, I love my sleep more.

Spent the afternoon and evening at Val' s. Careing for the kids so she could sleep with her stomach flu.

I am going back tomorrow to continue.

I set the clock this morning so we wouldn't be late for church. I took an hour nap this afternoon. Changing time is exhausting.

Cooking ahead is something I used to do when I was working out...it sure made things easier in the rush of the afternoon.

Today is a clean and mop day...we are getting another big storm tomorrow.

I am home and I am soon to get in the tub. I think that is called for.and

I will head back to Val' s tomorrow to finish her dirty clothes. Boy, 4 children can sure make a lot of dirty clothes. But I also washed Val' s bed clothes and all the blankets that are used on Brain's double person chair.

Thanks so much, Tina. I am glad too.

Rod is better. He is eating a bit beginning today. But not a lot. He walked out to get the mail today so he got some exercise. I guess that is good. But he still has fever...well he says he does anyway. This is a crazy flu. You are sick for like 48 hours but then for 4 days you have this awful stomach pain. Kinda like cramping magnified. . You think, I will eat something bland, you do and you feel all better...for about 5 minutes. Then it starts all over again.
I thought I was ok on the 4 th night, I had popcorn for my supper, and I woke up at 4 am with my old headache from the virus and did not sleep for hours. I took 2 Tylenol and many hours later I thought I may live. Once I was up, I was ok, but the night was horrid.

Oh, that sounds awful.
Sweet dreams all.
