I bought a 5' Natal Mahogany plant from a very reputable nursery about a month ago. They had it indoors in a shaded hothouse and I have placed it in my home in a corner opposite a wall of windows that face east, so it gets a good amount of indirect light. The Nursery also repotted the plant into a larger container for me before I brought it home. I know that these plants like water so I have been keeping the soil moist with a long pronged water meter. in the last few days I have noticed that some of the lower leaves a getting mottled with yellow and also developing some brown spots before they fall off. Please see the two attached photos.
My questions are:
1) Is this problem simply because it is adjusting to a new lighting and a larger pot?
2) I have been careful not to underwater it but could I have possibly over watered it in trying to keep the soil moist? If so, what must I do to correct this?
3) Is there any way I can encourage the lower leaves to grow back?
I love the plant and hope I can restore it back to a healthy state.Thank you for any advice you can give me.

Your plant is stressed. Call the nursery and ask them what their watering system was...that should help. At least water a bit less than you have been.
