I must have started the seeds a little too early, they are already getting buds on them and haven't planted them outside yet - can I pinch the buds off???

Helping the world one seed at a time

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee

I've never pinched off of the marigolds, and they were okay as well so do as you feel is best.

Why pinch them off till they bloom? Let these first blossoms go then pinch them off just as you should everytime a blossom is spent. You'll get bushier and longer lasting plants

I WS mine and actually pinched the 1st buds off.My taller ones have not bloomed yet,but are not as floppy....yet.My shorter ones(like tiger, crackerjack, lil gem) have been blooming fine.most are just finishing their 1st bloom.I let the heads stay on long enough to set seed to sow elsewhere....and can do by color grin

I'd still give them good light.I started fertilzeing mine when we're 3 inches, maybe had 4-5 leaves. My WS ones are doing better than the 2 6 packs I purchased.Useually when we get real hot as hades..triple digits..they look ugly unless in shaded area.I had some one year that bloomed on browned foilage...faithfully,but we're ugly crackerjacks.
