I will have bills to pay this week and some banking to do. I don't know how my weekend will shake out yet.
Sweet dreams all.
And thank you for the new CH, Carol.

My plan for housecleaning might be put on hold...DH has the rest of this week off(forced holidays) and there is no school Thursday and Friday because of a conference.

Keep safe, Carol. I saw some nasty storms stretched from Texas to Illinois tonight (with tornadoes)!

Nope, no fun here...it is too cold to do anything outdoors and GG is starting to get sick.

Stay safe with those storms.

Thanks to all of you. I am fine.

So it did last night was thunder once and sprinkle a bit. It did rain overnight and is supposed to rain this AM then be set until this evening/ night. I hope the storm is over....the rain sure is not.

Got errands to run today, so the kids are at their other grandmother's.

Happy birthday Teddy kissie I hope he has a fun day!

Junie, I bought carrot, beans, radish and beets....most others have to be planted as seedlings. I will pick up my onion and potato next week when the nursery opens. They all open for Mother's Day.

Good Morning (for the next 5 minutes here anyway)

We got back day before yesterday.. Carrie did not want me to stay.. they just kept her overnight, outside of the terrible gas pains she felt fine she said just tired, so she rests a lot... which she probably needs anyway... they did it belly button surgery so that makes recovery easier I guess... no cancer at all just cysts, so glad... and thankful!

I finally got bills done here, yesterday was rest up day for me.. 16 hour car trips just take all my energy it seems.. and we go back for Timba's graduation in a couple weeks, will be nice older DD is coming and so it son and his family... should be really nice, we did shop for the decorations before her surgery so that part is done...

Have a good day all, supposed to be 83* here today... sure appreciate it , it snowed on us and rained too up there... !

Nana

Gosh. Hard to believe Teddy is 25. Years ago a man I was dating told me on his 25th birthday that he couldn't believe he was a quarter of a century old.

Why can't you garden in your new house, Carol?
It's cinco de Mayo. I think I'll go to the local place for Mexican food.

Morning,

Hi all.... just got invited to go to SIL's for Cinco de Mayo... so going to put chicken in crock pot and take it out there, chicken and veggies, they just got back from Texas so kind of surprised they want to do a get together.... oh well keeps me from having to clean house today LOL!

Carrie is doing well, she has already gone to Starbucks ..her favorite, loves that coffee... we will be going back in 2 weeks for Timba's graduation … then again in July to pick up the boys for a month here before school starts again... lots of time on the road in our future!

Well off to get crock pot ready to go.. and get laundry started... never ending chore it seems..

Well, the landscaping is clay mixed with rock..So it is a chore. So while I have put in a few lirope, a few hostas my daffodils and my surprise lilies, it is a lot of work and do do not enjoy it. Plus the backyard is Bermuda grass and to put a garden in requires a lot of work.

Rod may have come up with a solution for a raised bed for me, but even if we get it done this year, it is too late to plant this year....

So next year it is.....

You often planted in pots even in Illinoise. I hope you can do it next year, Carol.

Yes Tina, and I have here as well. I have 2 large lots with tomatoes and basil in them. I have onions in another, and I have both a chive and a sage plant in another pot.

And on the front porch I have a pot of annuals in my grand daughter colors, my wild violets from IL in a small pot and a hanging cherry tomato plant. We will see how that does.

I am hoping to have a flower garden much like I had in IL( 14 by 4) but with space for a few veggies and herbs as well.

I am glad that you can still partially garden Junie...pots are a great way to do it with. I do hope that Rod gets a start on some raised beds for you as well.

It is going to be another beautiful day here...I have some clean up and mopping to do then outside I go to get more chores done. I over did it yesterday though, I was up all night with aching hands (where I had broken bones before).

Thanks, Tina and Sunny.
I am happy I can do what I can do.
I guess I will have to take what I can get.

I really need to run some errands today. I just do not like to drive in Cape Giardeau.

Well, my Nishiki willow is broken as well as my sand cherry shrub. I can probably save the sandcherry but the other is a lost cause. I am done buying shrubs as I said before...I just fill in the spots with perennials. I'll need to find a tall perennial to fill the space. I am on the look out for Goatsbeard...has anyone planted it before?

The goat's beard (arunculus) sounds pretty and like it could work for you, Sunny. It doesn't grow here.
