Have fun Carol.

Yup Tina, the goatsbeard would grow quite well here I think. I am going to ask the nursery if they can order it in for me if possible.

I have to take GB for his annual eye exam today.

I had great time !
The sad part was leaving them all knowing I would not see them next week.

I brought home 4 of my bunnies so I could paint the fur. I get to go back the 3 rd week of June, so I am hoping to leave them then and have my friend do the eyes for me. Then I will paint the clothes to reflect each child's favorite color.

I wish it was the end of June.

Glad you went to ceramics Carol. Have you had time to look for a ceramics group where you are now?

Thanks, Sheri, and I could have made time, but I really have not looked yet. It is not all about the ceramics...a lot of it has to do with my friends. I miss having friends...these friends

Sweet Dreams to everyone!

Hi all.

After over two years of trying to get GB help for his eyes, I have finally got a start on the results. He has been officially diagnosed with 'convergent strabismus'...in other words, he has farsightedness causing his eye to turn in. They are going to try a mild set of prescription glasses to see if they can get any results before we take him to another eye doctor an 8 hr drive from here in August.

Exactly what we had to do for our youngest when she had that. Glasses first then when they did all they could we did surgery. Both were big helps. she began her journey when she was 2.
I will be praying for you all.

I finally got a doctor to look at my son's eyes and he was diagnosed with strabismus. I feel for you, Sunny. After not being able to get my insurance to fund the eye therapy involve we went for eye surgery at a later age. It made a huge difference. Good luck, Sunny!

Thanks all. I was so worried that they would wait too long to start anything. I pray surgery is the last option. How did that surgery go for each of your children?

Easy for my son. It was an out patient surgery. Just took him in in the morning and we were on our way home around noon. They loosened a muscle on the outside of his eye that drew the eye away from his nose. He was cranky from the general anesthesia afterwards but was right as rain the following day. And happy not to need a patch.

Yes mostly the same for us. She even got a popsicle after she woke up, so it helped those the edge off of the surgery. It was an easy day really.

Emily might have had a patch until she saw the Dr a very few days afterward. I do not remember. I know it was not traumatic for her, even at her young age. He to!d me ( this was back in 1988) that they got the muscle adjusted with in 2 % perfect so no more surgery would be needed right away. Like I said she got a second surgery when she was 13 in 1999 was it. None since. As surgeries go it was painless.

Hi all,

Hubby had a eye doc appt this morning , so got that done, he has what doc thinks is glaucoma, since at least 1 sib and his Mom had it he probably does.. had drops to use and hopefully will keep it from getting worse, has cataracts started too.. never ends! good news is his eye healed well after the surfer eye surgery he had...

Well off to do up some laundry , trying to keep it done so will be easier to pack for next road trip to Colo... I swear that road gets longer every time... !

Have a good day all!

Woke about an hour ago (2:44) and here I am.
I was sweaty and DH does not like to sleep under the ceiling fan so I went to the living room but could not get back to sleep. I have asked for a ceiling fan for the kids room for mother's a day and then to have it installed for my birthday. I hope that I get it. I could sleep in there on nights like this.

Going to read now...

Morning ,

Just did bills again... had to pay off cr cds from trip, and then hubby took 2 cars in for oil change and 1 that made a weird noise... lets just say I am about 1000.00 poorer now... wheel bearings cost a lot to replace! oh well , better than having car payments...and glad we had the money to pay it..

My sis in law is supposed to come today and we are going to lunch again... maybe a little shopping will be involved too... may have to rethink my choices for dressing for the granduation ceremony... it snowed again up there yesterday , and as grad is outside I may go for pants and a sweater, maybe a coat..or as it's Colo it may hit 80 by then.... who knows I see extra clothes going with us...LOL!

Well need to file papers and get myself moving … whatever happened to the paperless world we were supposed to have by now?

Nana

I got my mom's gifts as well....we'll do her Mother's Day tomorrow while the kids are here.

That sounds like fin...doing Mother' s Day tomorrow not your TH and his glasses.

Just keep at the glasses. He will sooner or later see that he can see better with the glasses. Just keep at it.

Hi all...another rainy day ahead. It is snowing East of here though so I'll take the rain lol

The snow has melted from my front flower beds...this rain will make it easy to divide my hostas in a few days.

Ted was in preschool and wearing glasses. I got one of those shoestring type glass keeper for him. The type where if you take your glasses off, they hang around you neck. I pulled the back and pinned it to the back of his shirt no they stayed on at least during school. That worked for a couple of years.

Sunny that's sounds like a crazy rule about the glasses. Seems it would help the students plus the teachers to be able to keep up with them.

Today is Shelley's birthday so we did lunch and did a little bit of celebrating.
