So true Tina.

The kids are un-patiently waiting for the Easter bunny.

Does the Easter bunny come a day early there, Sunny? Some places have an egg hunt today around here like parks and such. It wasfunwhenI was little. But I most enjoyed deorating the eggs with my kids and getting baskets together for our elderly friends. It was a day for giving and sharing.

Going to grill for supper tomorrow. We could be going out to Brian's family's family for one meal or another. But nope, not us.. " we" are staying home....well after church.

Rod is not feeling well, ( a man cold) so no church or going out to eat for Carol.

I am baking a lemon dessert. And I called my momma. Nothing else going on.

Today Darbi is 20. I can't believe it.

Sunny, Johnny's family can't be together for 2 seconds until someone starts an argument. They can't even talk on the phone. They are all smart alecks and are offended by anything anyone says. Johnny's not as bad as the rest but he does have a bit of the family trait which I can't stand. They fought like idiots when their mother died, fought when their dad died, fought when Little Johnny died. I stay as far away from them as I can and I say only "hello" if I see them at church. They think I'm stuck up but I refuse to engage them because no matter what I would say "good morning. How are you?" "What do you mean how am I? Do I look like somethings wrong with me?" "That's a pretty dress." "Well I'm sure it doesn't cost as much as yours but I like it." Awful awful awful people.

Morning,

Just finished a few bills, sent hubby to drugstore for my meds... they always call when they are ready.. nice... may be heading back to Colo sooner then graduation time.. my Carrie is going to have a hysterectomy on the 8 of May, been a long time coming but now it is a necessity , so will go up just before and stay as long as she needs help... they aren't sure what's going on yet but had tests last week and supposed to get results today.. We had a nice Easter dinner yesterday, made a ham and the trimmings. have a lot of leftovers so will be making up some freezer pacs later today... realized my neighbor was alone next door, thought her kids would take her out but she was home so called her to come join us for dinner... had a nice time visiting with her..
Well off to vacuum and mop the kitchen floor... can't wait till we replace some of this carpet with hard flooring. have a good day all!

It is awful to have a disfunctional family. It is why I don't live near mine or talk about them much.
You sound busy, Sherri. I just feel like lazing around today. So that's what I am doing.

Yes, so very sorry for Johnny's family, Sheri.

Tina, so often wondered...

I did not do much today either, other than water my few tomato plants and a few potted plants.

Going to bed nite nite.... wavy

I wish I could do the same...but they got me surrounded.

Sheri, I asked at the gas station and the amount of snow fall so far for us is apparently at 18 ft and 7 inches...with more for tomorrow.

I think families have variables of disfunction. Living with an alcoholic parent causes lots of it's own disfunction. I live an insular life because I am a much happier person for it. So I'm not the least bit bothered by it.
Our mountains have had bunches of snow but I can't find totals. Colorado has 30 feet for the year so far.

I hope that she recovers as well as Tangela did after her hysterectomy. A couple of weeke ago.(3?) outside of itchy staples there were no complaints. She never had anything stronger than Tylenol afterwards. And then only two days of that. She has nothing but good to say about it all.

How wonderful for Tangela, Tina. I am so happy for her. I was not so lucky, so it makes me smile to hear of others who had a good experience with such things.

Sherri Hoping Carrie recovers quickly and you get to enjoy some of your time there.

Tina glad that Tangela has done so well. Is her named pronounced like Angela or is it Tan....then ...gela (not sure how to explain what I'm asking).

Tomorrow is Colt's birthday so we're driving down early in the morning. Hoping to be there to have lunch with him. We were going today but he woke up at 5:00 am with a stomach virus so we didn't go.

It was 84° today and it felt HOT.

It's. Like Angela with a T on the front. Her dad came up with it about 4 years before she was born.
I hope Colt's stomache thing is gone by tomorrow.
Sweet dreams, Carol.

I am glad that Tangela healed well, hoping it goes the same for Carrie. That was my worst surgery ever.

We got a snow storm last night...it looks pretty on the trees, but that's about it lol

Morning,

thanks for the good wishes for my Carrie, I am hoping it goes well for her too, mine was easy so hopefully it will be same for her, I was 10 yrs younger though... time flies! I came home to a 2 yr old to care for and all hers are big enough to wait on her....youngest is 14!

We got our big tax refund in mail so that will pay for trip up and back and then again for graduation... don't know if I will stay the time between, depends on her recovery mostly... oldest DD called yesterday and she will fly in for graduation so that will be nice …

Going to makes sure I have all the stuff I need to pack so Joe can pick it up if I need it.... did get all my med refills so that part will work out okay.. thank goodness insurance pays for 90 day refills here.. doc here changed my blood pressure meds when it came out the one I was on forever causes cancer... had to go to 3 different ones to do what that one did.. but good news is they work really well.. lowest it's been for yrs!

Well off to get busy , pack what I can and start laundry to wash the rest of what I will need... still chilly up there so got to dig out long pants again .. been shorts weather here for a few weeks now... LOL!
