Good morning.

I think today will be a laundry and baking kind of day. I can feel a 'tired Sunday' coming on lol

Yes, I too noticed her missing. She said the flooding we saw will not affect her, I hope that is still the case.

I just got the mopping and clean up done.

GG has the week off of school for March break. They should have just kept school open with all the days they have been missing.

Yes I agree they should have just kept school open. Poor kids will be going to school half of their summer break.

Valarie has told me that with all the time they have been missing b/ c of the flooding in her school district, they may well, just call off school for the rest of the year. Henry, her oldest, is going to be 5 soon, and back in the year he was born, Val' s school just closed for the year at some point b/ c of the flooding the year Henry was born, it was Easter that year, (April 20th) Her school ends around May 15th so they just said forget it, school is over this year. More schools should do that. I feel sorry for the kids having to make up this time in the summer.

I have another storm to clean up this morning...only about 8-10 inches though. It is showing no snow for the rest of the week though, and I am glad.

I had another calf born..a little girl.

Wow 2 calves AND no snow for awhile! Good for you !

My head is full of congestion. I hope it drains soon. I also hope that I adjust to this weather soon.

Sun is out...I'll take it.

Morning , Had to go read back for a while to catch up...still trying to redo budget for new med costs and reorganize … had to take a break..
Joe took my car in to check it for latest recall.. hopefully it will be fine... but they have to fix for free it it's affected to at least there is that..
Now he is walking Milo and then hanging more shelves in shed.. his allergies attacked him the last few days.. spring has arrived for sure, hopfully mine will be over now... can't take my usual meds anymore so hopefully they will be easier on me now..

Well better get back to it and get my stuff organized again... got a lot of filing to do too...

Have a good day all!
Nana

Hoping the new meds work Nana.

I think clothes multiply in the hamper Junie lol

I have to go pick up GB later, he has been asking for a sleepover at my moms and of course Wednesday is her only 'stay home~no where to gamble' night. crazy

I budget here as well....and mostly stick to it, much to my dismay at times. I find it so hard grocery wise on a limited budget with our high prices.

Well budget is figured, unless of course somebody raises rates and prices... we lived off savings when Joe first retired, now we have both of us on SS and my retirement, so we don't have to use the IRA money so much... plus moving lowered our expenses a lot.. sale of house up in Colo almost paid for this one so that helped too, hopefully will start adding to savings now to that health ins isn't so much as it was before... so far anyway.

We are going to head up to Colo soon to take our taxes in and see kids for a short visit.. going back end of May for Timothy's graduation.. how did he get so Old so soon? seems like he was just starting school..... time sure marches faster the older I get.

Hubby had a doc appt to be checked for glaucoma but doc wants to see his new medicare card and we don't have it. have the number but not the actual card. they have to send a new one- says they sent one in Dec of last yr.. never arrived here... so we are on the 4 to 6 weeks list again... always something.. hope it gets here before the rescheduled appt...

Well better get moving and get something actually done today. need to do up laundry and figure out what we need to take with us to Colorado.

Nana

Five long days without Internet. Hopefully it's on for good now. And I'm back! I am just glad my phone was working well enough for my eldest's surgery yesterday

Well, she had a full hysterectomy and several additional fibroid tumors removed so recovery is going to be a pain and slow and aggravated by instant menopause. But she sounds well and no cancer so...

Gracious, been there,,,,I hope she ;listens to the Drs. and follows advice. I should have listened better back in the day, so I am the voice of experience. it is about health years down the road, not just about recovery right now. Prayers for her and for you and yours. Thankful there is no cancer.....

Yes, I've held people up as examples to her. She was split from the breast bone to the pelvic. The one tumor that they estimated at 5 lbs was actually 3 tumors all smashed together and around 6 lbs. A couple more half pounders. Plus the plumbing. She's 46. Poor baby.

Oh my, yes, poor baby. I was 55 as I recall, and that was young enougj, but 46, is for sure way too young. I hope she has an easy recovery of it. But look on the bright side. Sounds as if she will be a fair amount smaller, and no matter who you are, that is a good thing, right ? so yay for that. The loss of the plumbing is not so bad. There are some good sides to not having all of that to be worried about.
Good night and sweet dreams, Tina. Good to have you back.
Good night to everyone.

Yes, Tangela has lost a "baby's worth" of weight. But I never came out of the hospital delivery room in my skinny jeans. She still has work ahead after a full recovery. And the recovery is going to be several months.
Good morning. It's so good to be able to say that!

OK, they took twenty pounds out of Tangela. There were a lot of fibroid tumors in her. That is a bunch of junk along with her uterus and ovaries. She feels much better and should be coming home tomorrow.

Lent began with Ash Wednesday ...day before yesterday. Catholics (& some Lutheran's ) have fish fries on Friday's in Lent. Well, all but Good Friday.

The Night's of Columbus that is close to us here serves fish
( and apparently fried Chicken why ) during Lent. We are used to going to a Lutheran Church in the next town to us back home, so we hope to continue the tradition here.

We had fish for Ash Wednesday as well.

Prayers for Tangela. I pray all is well for her now.

I have been busy with my Uncles...apparently their worker has March break off as well and the spares were all being used. Schizophrenia is an awful disease.

Speaking of fried fish, I like brim the best. What are you reading Junie? I'm reading through Louise Penny's series about Inspector Gamache. Like it.

I've had a cough for a couple of days and can't sleep. It's beginning to get on my nerves.

Sheri:
I usually like to read Nero Wolfe by Rex Stout..although Robert Goldsboro has written some of late that are ok....then if course I like anything by Agatha Christy.
Of late I have been reading several Cozy Mysteries ...they are very short reads, which are very good for say a Drs. Waiting room. Or you can finish them quickly. They are series books, and you can follow the back stories from book to book which is fun.
Here are a few,:
Cedar Bay Cozy Mysteries..by Diane Harman
Culinary Cozy Mysteries..Nancy McGovern..
Parkdale Cafe Cozy Mysreries....by Agatha Frost

There are more..I get free offerings every day thru Freebooksy (I think it is) in my email I read them on my Kindle fire.
