Cheerio in the bowl is good. I rarely had Cheerios around though. Want to place odds on two weeks, Sunny?
I have never been to Sam's, Carol. I had a Costco card until about at year ago but used it rarely. I love my restaurant supply store.
Today will be a quick trip to buy gas and some bread. Sounds exhausting! smile

Morning. This waking up to use the bathroom and then not being able to go back to sleep has got to stop. Junie is tired. I am hoping coffee will fix that .

I will do my Christmas taking down that did not get accomplished yesterday.

I won't take that bet Tina...I'll lose lol He already told us that he is not going to 'tay care' today with his 'underwears'.

The wind is blowing fiercely this morning. I hope it dies down so I can head out later and buy the monthly supplies....I'll be storm stuck for a few days with the incoming storm.

Have fun shopping, Sunny. And stay safe this week.
And you have fun too, Carol. Do you have a basement for storing your Christmas stuff away in?

Oh yes a full basement with 9++ sq. Ft finished and 1 large store room, one smaller one that Rod has turned into a man cave, and a yet smaller one under our stairs where we keep our empty Rubbermaid containers. So I have room to store my Christmas.

Junie, your basement alone is bigger than my whole house lol

I got to Walmart...only to find that most everything in the flyer was sold out. I guess you have to go as soon as the sale hits to get the deals. Oh well, we hit a few stores to try get some deals to stock the pantry...it was on the empty mark.

I even treated myself to a new mop bucket...that has an insert to help wring out the mop when you twist it. I think I'm really going to like keeping my hands out of the water. grin

That sounds like a good buy. Let me know what you think. I am currently using a swifter type of mop that you put your own cleaner in. I am not convinced it does a good enough job.

I have a swiffer mop also, Carol. I don't feel like the floors are properly cleaned with them either. They are great for fast cleanups, though. A between mopping kind of thing.

I was reading about the potty training extravaganza. Everyone around here was easy to train, they sort of started on their own, but they wanted to go to the bathroom every where we went over and over again. Times that by 3 and it's going to be something.

We have a Sams card but I rarely shop there. I've bought bedroom slippers twice there because they're half the price in the regular store and we may end up getting a new TV there because one of ours is on it's last legs. I don't buy groceries in bulk.

We have a walk in attic that's about 24 x 12 where we keep our Christmas decorations. Sunny, where do you keep yours? I really like a walk in attic. I've had 2 friends in the last 6 or 7 years fall out of an attic and one of them died.

Yes, I agree about the potty training X 3. Esp. Since one's body is not ready. And yes, all we would be doing is finding bathrooms.

We had an attic when we lived in the farm. (1980 to ,2004.)
It was a room off of my landing area in our upstairs. I much prefer it to a basement storage area.

That was then, this is now. Here the attic has a.wooden drop down ladder to get to it..as did the new home.(2004 - 2018) I was never able to go up into the new house, and I will not be going up into this attic. Oh well. Thank goodness I have a store room in the basement.
Update:
It is now 11:10. Goodnight to everyone. Sweet Dreams.

I am awake now. I am going to make soup today. It was going to be chicken but as that would mean a shopping trip I am going to make a beef soup. Perhaps a beef/ cabbage soup.o

Soup is on it's last hour of cooking. When the veggies are done and the barley is done, it is soup.
The beef is in the crock pot so I can make a stir fry tonight. Now it is time for my Christmas and my soap.

Hi all.

Sheri, I keep my Christmas items in totes(wrapped in bags first)in my garden shed...on a high shelf. I have no indoor storage for items such as that.
Tina, I agree...those mops are good for quick wipes but not a deep clean.
Junie, the bucket is great...but I need to buy the 'Vileda' fabric mop that matches. My yarn type mop is a bit too thick to fit in perfectly.

School is cancelled today...we are getting a big snow storm. In fact I am going to tell you a funny story. I get up this morning to this warning on the weather channel for us~
4:52 AM AST Wednesday 09 January 2019
Winter storm warning for Chaleur Region

Hazardous winter conditions are expected. Heavy snowfall expected today and tonight. Snow combined with very strong easterly winds this afternoon and evening will give extensive blowing and drifting snow.

Periods of snow will intensify this morning and become heavy at times as the system approaches. Accumulating snow will continue tonight into Thursday morning as this slow moving system tracks across the province. In addition, very strong easterly winds gusting up to 90 km/h are expected to develop this afternoon and persist into the evening before diminishing overnight. These winds will combine with the snow to give poor visibility in blowing snow and could lead to isolated power outages.

Total snowfall accumulation of 40 cm is expected.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to NBstorm@canada.ca or tweet reports using #NBStorm.

O.k. as you can see, we are getting a major 'stay home' storm. I get a call after 6 am from my Uncle(who is schizophrenic)wanting to know if I can take him to the store for some chocolate bars at lunch time. zoink

Hi all, My BIL lives in a house next door to another BIL and his wife, he is pretty self sufficient , cleans and makes his ready to cook meals in his microwave... he does have and aide that comes in every day and supervises house work and makes him take a walk every day and converse with her, he isn't much of a talker but will if you insist... he likes to watch all the old westerns on tv and will repeat those for hours if allowed to.. their Mom did everything for him growing up and insisted he just couldn't learn how to do anything on his own,,, well she went into nursing home and he became much more "able" when he had to.... funny how that worked..

Bobby is very gifted in art and playing music too... and is a savant about knowing who and what actor is in his shows he likes... he does have a computer at home and has an I pad to , but putting controls on one for him just doesn't work.. he can figure it out and bypass any we can come up with... he has had many discussions and about appropriate sites and knows his history will be checked often.. and sil has found a program that alerts her if he goes to the sites he shouldn't...

Well off to clean up my closet again.. it's become the dumping ground for the where should I put this stuff...
Nana

Ah, he does well for an autistic person. That's good, Sheri. Most of the autism sSpectrum kids I've known are less able.

I never frost chocolate cake. With cupcakes I put about one and a half teaspoons of sweetened cream cheese with chocolate chips on top of the dough before baking. It ends up inside the cupcakes like filling. I also like chocolate cake hot with butter. I left these cupcakes plain.

Mmmm, cream cheese anything is delicious. Tina, I have done that with brownies but never thought to do that with cake...I must try that with carrot cake.

Junie, it's just one cup of graham crumbs mixed with a few tsp of melted butter and pressed in a pan, bake for 5 min at 350*. Let cool, make one package of whipped cream(I use the powdered because it is cheaper) and put aside. Whip one package of cream cheese, 3/4 cup of white sugar and mix well. Add half of the whipped cream to this mix and whip smooth. Put slices of banana on top of cooled graham crust, pour cream cheese mix on top, put more banana slices on top then cover with remaining whipped cream. Put in fridge for 24 hours for a strong banana flavor through out. It's one of our favorite desserts here.

I'm making some cold pasta salad at the moment, I have to go pick up GB at day care in a few hours...he needs a sleepover. lol

Tina, he is absolutely refusing to even try. I am going to ask the pediatrician for some advice.
