It's is hot as blue blazes here and humid. It's better than the happenings of last week though. I can't believe it's already been a week since Florence came through. Times flies.

I have a computer question. I don't know anything about technology. Let me see if I can make this make sense.

Johnny and I both have gmail accounts. I can access them both on this desktop BUT I can't reply on mine. Johnny's is fine. But I can read my email, I have a reply button, but when I click it my page reloads and if I go through those steps again, it does the same thing (reloads). So it's the same browser right? Why will it work for one email and not the other?

Plus, I can get to this forum using this browser but I can't get to all websites using this browser. So does that mean it's not the browser? I was trying to update my information for Acorn TV, could get to my account page, but couldn't update my stuff. I did it on my phone. I'm confused.

yea I think it is..I updated mine early, hated it & went back.....so in a few days mine may be messed up too I guess ??? I will say that g-mail is different depending on the device you use. \On my laptop, I can just get to one of my gmail accounts....on my tablet I can get to both my accounts.....makes a girl wonder indeed.

I would think it's a gmail issue if Johnny's wasn't working correctly. When I go to google and click "mail" both our accounts come up and we click which one we want. So it's the same process but then his works and mine won't.

I've got to pick up sticks and small branches today so the guys can cut the grass. While I'm out there I might as well clean up the garden a little bit.

Yes about cleaning up the garden. I was looking at mine in IL today, and it sure needs some attention. I hope the guy (I think a single guy) likes flowers and my " rock garden" ( what my one son in law used to call the back area that I have rocked then have pavers as stepping stones.

But oh well, as my DH says, not my problem now.

I went ahead and dug up some surprise lilies / naked ladies today and brought them here. When I cut one I simply replanted the 2 pieces to its old home. If it does not live, am sure I left enough other bulbs so the new owners can enjoy them as well. In the mean time I have enough bulbs to remember the friend who gave them to me.

We are back in Missouri now.

Rod is right, it's not your problem now. If you ever get a break you can make your current yard your own. Glad you got a few bulbs. They'll multiply and you'll end up with lots.

Everyone must be out in the yard today.

Hi all.

We just had two days with no power, they had a few tornadoes West of us and the winds followed through to here....there were trees down everywhere and power lines as well. Needless to say, the roofer put our roof off until next week. I am so thankful we have our generator now...it was a blessing.

WOW and it is a blessing that you are all ok. I trust your DD and GB are doing well too ?

Today I planted my daffodil bulbs that Valarie had me start back at the farm when she was 3. I then moved to another area in the same bed to plant my surprise lilies. Well, I worked on that bed from 10:30 to 1:30 and it looks like I just began. Apparently in this area the peop!e dug down, and mixed dirt and soul it was a mess. Then it began to rain. Perhaps tomorrow....

Junie how do you make hamburger soup? Johnny might like that. How is your mother? Did you get your bulbs planted.

Sunny glad you have a generator. What kind of heat do you have? I can imagine a body freezing to death in your area. Hope you"re area is back to normal soon.

I cleaned out my pretend green house today. I"m so happy to have that done. Colt has outgrown his cars. Guess I"ll try to sell them.

Let me see If I can just remember the recipe:

Ground Beef Vegetable Soup

1 LB ground beef, browned
1-2 medium potatoes cut up into spoon-sized chunks
2 medium carrots cut up
1 medium onion, sliced
1 stalk of celery, chopped
1 bay leaf..DO NOT leave out..or your soup will be flat
1 - 16 oz can of tomatoes, (I use diced) DO NOT drain...(can you tell this is an old recipe?)
3 cups of water (sometimes I add more and then add some beef flavoring)
1 TB Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper

In Dutch oven, Brown ground beef, drain off excess fat. stir in remaining ingredients. Simmer covered 25 to 30 minutes, or until veggies are tender. Stir occasionally

Sounds good and thanks. The bug killing man was supposed to be here to murder the red ants that are rampant since hurricane Florence came through. He was supposed to be here at 9 and it"s 9:32. He set the time so why isn"t he here?

It is certainly something how if "they" were waiting on you, you should be on time, but if "they" are lare, we should understand. He could have at least called.

I cooked supper for my DD & her family, took it over there, fed everyone, cleaned it up and put the kids to sleep. My DD had an outing to go to so she thought this would help her DH out greatly if I did that do I did. Kids were there today & will be back tomorrow as well.

We could use a new CH..anyone game???
