I had 2 hydrangea bushes several years ago...I tried to acidify the soil for them..my attempts did not work either.

Next year I plan on putting in a flower bed like the one that is at home. I have potted up some of the violets that came from the farm and I intend to bring my daffodils and surprise lillies with me as well

How nice. You have an open slate to do whatever you want without having to worry about roots and colors.

I think even the Japanese Beetles are affected by the heat because they're eating the zinnias instead of the roses this year.

I agree. The heat has been great for the gardening...well if you have access to water that is. My uncle planted his garden where he has no access to water it...it is a loss. We were three weeks with no rain.

I have to figure out how to post pics on this computer to share with y'all.
