Hi all. I had a full day of yard work yesterday. Everything looks great...much to my back's dismay  I even made a set of shutters from some scrap lumber for my garden shed...I'll paint them up today. One of our chickens have started laying as well. GG was so excited.

Good Morning.
Ah farmers eggs...what my youngest used to call them....are the best.
My shoulder is finally feeling a bit better from yard work here also. This aging thing is not for the faint of heart.
A Wal-Mart run is in my future today.

We woke up to frost this a.m. I covered my garden last night because I could smell the 'ocean air'...that usually means trouble...could be worse, it is snowing in Newfoundland this morning.

I had a wonderful Tuesday ! Ceramics, then lunch out, THEN----my friends invited me over to one of the girls house for dessert...But they had all made pavers for me...
They bought them at a garden center and then they each painted one. Now when I look at them I will think of them.

Very tired...going to sleep. DH told me to look up how to disassemble a sleep number bed (our directions are in Missouri) and for the life of me all I could find was thise fast Forward videos....and I heard him listening to his---a nice narrated infomercial type of video...too bad for me

Tina, I don't mind the warm but the hot is awful. How in the world can people deal with high temps? It was in the low 90's with the humidity yesterday...it made me nauseous. It is supposed to be like this for 5 days in a row. I guess we get so much cold weather that our bodies deal better with that than this.
At least the gardens will enjoy it.

Sometimes the heat makes me feel nauseated too. I can only sit on the beach because there's a breeze. If I'm in a pool and there's no breeze I have to stay submerged like a hippo. Can't stand the heat but don't think I'd like living where there's frost the middle of June. Humidity will kill you for sure.
Junie glad you're ceramic friends sent you off in fashion. Can't wait to see your new house.

Sleep ing on the floor here tonight. My body is ready for it for sure. However my mind is wide awake. Valarie thinks we should stay here, and plenty needs to be done here but then plenty needs to be done at home as well.

Hi all. Congrats on the new home Junie...fingers crossed for a quick sale and a great price for the other I spent the afternoon at my mom's yesterday...she turned 66. She spent her birthday money we gave her on a feed of lobsters for herself for today. I have to head out in a bit to take DD shopping for GB's third birthday party. She is having it a week early so that family visiting can attend. He keeps asking everyone to buy him crayons for his gifts It seems the heat is making the garden grow overnight...I am amazed at how the seedlings have sprouted in just 48 hrs.

yep, try again later.... my SIL did that one year at Christmas--she needed a pair of off white mittens. so if a person asked that is what she told them--we all 5 of us got her off white mittens...LOL I will say goodnight now---I have to clear off this table and then go into the basement and clear out there.... too funny, I am guessing there'll be many boxes of crayons. I took him to Walmart and told him to pick out a toy. He wanted a pink Barbie trike...we found the boys version(Harley Davidson) on a top shelf. It is cute...a Fisher Price junior version for 3 to 5 yr olds. I already bought the crayons with Minion coloring books and a few summer outfits. I also bought his cake....my part is done. He then followed me home for a sleepover

Thanks Ladies. Might be stress might be from sleeping on the floor with no real covers...( DH's cousin picked us up in his little sports car we could carryout our 1 suitcase in it..never mind the 2 of us and him..) . So nothing extra was brought with us I am hoping that will not ever happen again !
.AND it could be the colds my 3 granddaughters have...no matter how you look at it, I am a mess.I

That happens to me all the time, Tina. ...
My DH has a cold now too. He agreed we have been pushing too much. The good news is that I can get some cold medication for him to take. That should help him.
I can hear the fireworks but cannot see them...Boooooo

Apparently this is not a cold. As flu does not regularly show itself in July, I guess it could be done type of new virus. DH was wanting to take me to the hospital. He does not care for my dry cough. But I am not that bad....

We are sleeping on the floor, I do not recommend it at all.
We are eating frozen dinners.. My pots and pans are here yet but I do not want left overs, plus with being sick, we are not eating much anyway.
I will say goodnight now. Sweet dreams.

Junie now that you're closer to your grand children bet you'll start going with them. That's how I end up there. Shelley and her family meet her sister in law and her family and both grandparents at a parking lot and we watch the fireworks togethers. We take sparklers and light up necklaces and have a great time. Last night Shelley brought a cooler full of water and popcorn. Have you heard from dodge lately?
Tina I usually wash at least one load every day but don't think I did yesterday.

I took a nap this afternoon. Didn't actually mean too but woke myself up snoring.
Went to the gym this morning and ran into Colby and Darbi there. Nice surprise. This was their first day at my gym. I quit the other one and guess they did too. No sense having a pool if it's always too crowded to get in it.

I have NO idea what any of that means..sorry I have been to the Dr. and also had 102*F temp yesterday. Poor Val just scooped up her kids & went home. I can't say that I blame her. Rod & I kept coughing all night again and me with a cough suppresant. It did not care. We are in MO for the weekend. Back to worden on Monday And btw..me and the guy who invented auto correct are not friends..js

It was a balmy 80 something here. Wish I had of felt well enough to go out and weed the rocked area. I have been sitting in my recliner for hours. I cough and cough and cough. I will not go to bed as I think that Rod is actually getting some sleep. In just to say goodnight !

It's lovely outside today. Oh to have it stay this way. This morning was even a little nippy. It's obvious just looking around the yard that the plants are thankful for the break. Hell fire is returning tomorrow though.
I got up, put on makeup, flat ironed my hair, then didn't go to church because I feel so bad. I do look lovely though. (how many of you believe that :) ) Guess I've got a virus. Today was communion day, which thankfully, we went and set up yesterday. Hated to miss it.

Went to the doctor today because I've been dizzy. Saw the nurse practitioner instead of my regular doctor. Blood pressure 100/62, which is normal for me. Temp 97.2, which is normal for me. Weight 123 which is a 3 pound weight loss since June 18 when I went to get my thyroid med renewed, which is probably due to working in the garden in the blazing heat. Lungs clear. Ears clear. Neurological exam normal. So she says to me and this is EXACTLY " Gee wish I could tell you what you've got going on. Keep us posted." And starts gathering up her stuff to leave the room. I asked what about anemia as in low hemoglobin - maybe we should do a few labs. "Your labs have been fine for a while so I don't think we need to do that today." So I asked "at least write for an antibiotic just in case there's something going on with my ears that you're not catching since I DO have a history of inner ear issues." "Sure, I can do that." So I picked up an antibiotic and we shall see. She acted like she didn't care one way or another.

LOL she is related to the "whatever she was" that saw me since my DR was not "in". Did not care at all...only gave me antibiotics b/c I had red ear...and call her if I did not get better..well, 102*F is not better but why call her ??? I think I am now finally getting beytwr. Give it a week, Sheri. My sister is sick too.

I am back and exhausted. It takes so little to tire me out these days.
But I got my banking done and vehicle stuff taken care of. Then went to a store I don't get to very often any mor since Teddy is out of school. I stopped by a second store and then home. I fixed lunch for Ted and I and I'm thinking it's about time for a nap.

Junie is today build a bear for the cost of your child's age? It's usually so expensive so this is a great deal.
Got a few tomatoes, squash, okra and cucumbers out of the garden this week. It's not going to be a bumper year though because of the rain, cold, extreme heat in that order.

Thankfully it rained yesterday evening. We sat on the screened porch and watched and listened to it. We had forgotten how it looks and sounds. But of course I've covered my tomatoes so they only got what blew in. Guess I might have to water them today.
Junie I read where Build A Bear was a mad house. My niece, in Atlanta, said there was a 3 hours wait. She didn't wait.

We got there with the 3 two yr olds, and their 4 year brother... The lines were ridiculous. But a man was handing out $15.00 vouchers so we got 4 and left. A friend of one of Val's friends said she (somehow) got into the mall at 6:45 am and still had to wait 3 hours to get her child's bear. Apparently TPTB were not prepared for such a turn out...in what universe was that not predictable??
We have to go back up that way the 20 th so we will use our vouchers then.

Well see, we are technically living in Missouri....But we need to stay several days a week in our home in Illinois..to inhabit it and to keep things up so the place looks nice to sell.

This house has more sq ft. But it has less storage and terrible lighting. But it does have my DD and her 4 children very close by. And that wins, hands down !
I am headed to bed for an early nights sleep !
