I saw 1 house. It had a 2 & 3/4 garage..for 2 cars and a work area...then a kitchen/ dining area. livingroom , 3 bedrooms and a few closets...a full bath & a master bath upstairs.

Then in the basement a huge laundry room, a shower bath, a huge family room a large bed room and a big storage area. But it needed things like chimney repaired, New retaining wall, major deck repair to name the obvious.........and I may have said but it was very expensive for all the repairs NEEDED.

Surely somewhere there is a house for us. Main issue (I think) is that we are used to see house and these are not new....

Hi all.

I had a long day yesterday. GB is here again. DD is renting a house and the sump pump disconnected in the basement wall and flooded the basement, the water started seeping up as well as down. The repairman did a quick fix for last night. The mess is unbelievable, I think it is time for her to go back to apartment living.

I'll read back and catch up.

Dreadful problem. I had this happen in the last apartment I lived in before moving back to California.

Good morning. Raining here in Missouri. It is supposed to rain all day. We are to look at 3 houses here today. I wish I knew why houses were so costly for what you get here.

June, I"m confused again. I thought you were looking at 3 houses right after the birthday party. Ginger said the same thing as you - she wants a new house this time cuz she"s tired of the fixing stuff.

Oh my sunny that IS a dreadful problem. The clean up should take a while.

I took 1/2 a Benadryl so I"ll be asleep for a while 😴.

Even a new house doesn't save you from repairs.

I am back, but in my tablet..computer is refusing to reboot.

Tina, while you are right, I was referring to things in houses that were neglected, and since the price per sq. Ft. is higher where we are looking , there is little to no wiggle room for us to do any repairs. Not to mention Rod is not 30 any more.

Yes I saw something, Tina---not that I thought it was such a wonderful house, but it had lots of storage, laundry on main floor, and a FLAT fenced in yard. most houses are on hilly ground around here.....and oh, did I mention the sun room?? It faces out to the back fenced in yard so I could sit inside & watch the kids play. But it was kind of high price-wise--so we will see.

Tina it seemed that the Benadryl had the opposite effect on me yesterday. It made me jumpy so I couldn't sleep for a while. But this morning I didn't wake up until 8:20 when Ginger called for the 2nd time. I didn't even hear the phone the first time. I got my allergy shots today and my arms aren't nearly as itchy as usual so at least it worked a bit.

Glad you've got a sunny day finally Sunny. Hope the worst is over. How's the clean up going at your daughters house? It's rained most of today here.

Junie hope you can work out a deal with the sellers for the house. Love the sound of a sunroom and fenced yard.

Do any of you know anything about AOL? Years back I had an AOL email account. Evidently for some odd reason my old account has decided to start sending out emails to people who were on my contact list. I tried to log in to see if I can delete the contacts or change the password but I don't remember my password and AOL won't let me change it. I've gone through the process and get to the place where I'm supposed to be sent a link but the link doesn't come.

Sheri: I know nothing about AOL, sorry. I hope someone else an help you.

Quite a few cold meds make me hyper and unable to sleep. I understand that completely, Sheri. If I use benedryll, it is in the liquid form and puts me to sleep. The pills, not so much.

Well, we got chickens...three in trade for bagged oats, the best deal when no $$ is involved.

Layers, they are all over 5 weeks old. They come right to you to pick them up....not sure if that means they are friendly or just stupid

Just got in from a grocery run.

Tomorrow we have to go get some chicken wire...right now I have them in an old horse trailer. I have all the other (recycled) supplies already to build a coop.

Friendly chickens are likely to live longer. How do you over-winter chicks in your climate? It seems like it would be a challenge.

I would like to have chickens but I"m gone too much to try to find someone to take care of them. I hope you"ll post pictures of their house.

Watched a decent suspense movie on Netflix, A Kind of Murder.

My left arm kept me up last night itching at the allergy injection site even though I took an allergy pill. It"s still itching today.

PS. I found a number for AOL and got a password reset, got in and deleted all contacts, and all saved folders. Interesting only one person has contacted meabout receiving an email. I also changed my gmail password. Hope it works.

I had another Uncle pass away., in his sleep while napping.....a peaceful way to go. He had been sickly and wishing he'd pass soon. His wish was granted.

Rain for the next few days...the snow is slowly melting a few inches per day.

Glad the snow is slowly melting. Maybe it will sink in to the ground and not cause flooding.

Was supposed to be clear today but it's still raining and Andy's refusing to go out. Oh well he'll hold it as long as he can.

DH has the day off. I just sent him on an errand with the list of supplies I need to build a small chicken coop and run. I have most items except the chicken wire, staples and a few boards. It feels good to delegate a task....I told him he might even get the honor of helping to build it if he sticks around for the afternoon.

Good morning. I am soon on my way to my sister's to help her set up for her moving sale.

So Junie your sister is moving too? Moving and starting fresh with decorating is fun but it's a lot of work. I think Ginger is just about over the "fun" part of moving.

It's not raining today so I think I'll go outside and fill up the raised bed.
