OK Sunny--I must be "it" b/c I opened up the new CH LOL

Now we can chat on......

Mary, besides the coneflower, I also like the Echinacea. of course there are different varieties of both, so IMO they are a good choice.. There are a few other perennials that I like but they are invasive so I shy away.

I also like Russian Sage, a Stoke's Aster that I have had since 2008 and a Miniature Butterfly Bush. The stake says it can get to between 36 - 48 inches high but mine hovers around 30 inches. very pretty.

I try to plant new perennials each season but then I fill in with whatever pretty annual that I see that year.

I will say goodnight now. Sweet Dreams wavy

6:53 am for me.

Nana, it was good to hear from you. What's the price on beef there? We just sold a cow the other day to a buyer...I'd have gotten twice the price if I was allowed to sell to the public.

Mary, my favorite season is spring/Fall. I get snow at least 6 months of the year here.

Today is a half day of school...meetings for the school board in the afternoon. DH is going to try take the afternoon off so we can go shop for car insurance. Our claim jumped by over $300 a year...with no tickets or reason. Wish me luck.

I will look at all the flowers you mentioned, Echinacea, which variety? The sage and the aster too, the butterfly bush, I have one, just planted last year and hoping it comes back.
Tam - WOWZERS!! Snow 6 months out of the year??? I would not last the first winter. I guess if you grow up in that, you just get used to it. Being a southern belle, from Texas, that is way too much cold weather for me. It is beautiful though, I must admit.

Back to work for me...

I have many varieties, Mary.

Green envy, White swan, Little Annie (short) and 2 double coneflowers---1) Coconut Lime 2) Pink Double Delight. I also have a purple one, but I do not have it's name.
The one purple one I have had for over 15 years..when my 38 yr old DD was 15 she worked in a plant nursery. One day she brought home some small plants off of her employer's compost heap---I have kept them going since then. When we moved back on 2004/05 I took several plants with me. :)

I am soon headed to bed..see you all tomorrow..

Hi all.

School is cancelled...it is storming again. The old saying is that if March comes in like a lion....it will go out like a lamb lol

so what is the correct way to comment on this forum? Should I use Quick Reply or Reply at the bottom or the last comment? This time I used Quick Reply.

I am so ready for some warm sunny weather. Again, it is cloudy here today and I miss seeing the sun. I think the hi will be around 60, which I know is a lot warmer than some of you guys, so why am I complaining?

Junie Girl, I will look at all of the flowers you mentioned above and see which ones might work for me. Thanks for the listing. I also need to figure out when I need to cut my azaleas back, pretty sure this month.

Going to California office at the end of March, made all my reservations yesterday. I wish I could get my hubby to travel with me, we have a dog, so he stays home with her and refuses to board her. I kind of hate the idea of boarding her too for a week, but would really love it, if he would go with me at least one time...

Well this post sounds like I am never satisfied! Thank you Lord for this day! Amen!

Have a great one everybody!

Mary, in my area we prune azaleas right after they bloom. I have a few encores that, since they bloom all year, I prune whenever they look like they need it.

Curious as to what type of work you do. Seems nice you can work from home but then travel some too.

Our March temperatures are supposed to be warm.

Mary, look up on the right-hand side of the forum under "Gardening Links". There are some guidelines listed by months. That many help you.

As far as posting correctly either works. if you wish to use emoji's click on full editor which is located at the bottom of the quick reply.
all of your options will be listed at the top. of the message box.

Mary, a road trip how nice.

Sunny, another lost day...I am hoping they will forgive all the lost days this year. If they do not soon there will be little to no summer vacation..at least it sounds that way.

would love to go out today, but I have no reasons to leave the house

Full Editor!! dance This will be fun!

Bestofour, I work for a company that brokers groceries. So we buy groceries in one part of the US and sell to someone in another part of the US. We also have a few things we manufacture ourselves, but really just got into that in the last year or so. I do all the financials, banking etc. I go to the corporate office in Redlands, CA about 4-5 times a year. I am very blessed to be able to work out of my home.
I will look at my azaleas, pretty sure i have encores. 2 of my bushes I planted right as the season ended the year before and never cut them back, so they are pretty tall and scraggly looking.

Juniegirl, thanks for the gardening link heads up. I will look at that. Your in Worden IL and I looked at the weather there compared to here. next few days we are a lot alike, I am probably 5 degrees higher, but pretty close. I am thinking you said, "would love to go out today", well isn't that reason enough??? why

Mary, well yes that is reason enough, but with the hubby retired now, I tend to stay home more than when he was working.

YAY for full editor ! party

JunieGirl, my husband is retired too. He stays pretty busy with projects though. I do very little without him. About the only thing I do is sometimes grocery shop alone, but not even that very often. Of course, my business trips, he stays home, but for the most part, we are always together...wouldn't have it any other way! He is my best friend!

Night to all! Sweet dreams!

Sunny sorry about your sick girl but glad she's not having to miss a required school day. How does the system make up so many weather days? We have a few days already in our schedule that we can use but then they take away Easter holidays and we've even had to go on Saturday.

Warm but extremely windy here today.

Going to get my hair flattened. I've been wearing it curly, which Johnny likes, but it's a little frizzy from the rain yesterday so flat it will be for the weekend.

Going to Darbi's game tomorrow so I'm making cookies for her today.

Morning all,

Up early today, hubby left for Colorado today, taking our tax stuff up to our guy, didn't want to mail it...
will be a turn around trip, will see the kids... and come back,,, we are going up again in a couple weeks for spring break , have a real visit with kids and friends... hopefully won't be to cold.... it's been chilly here the last few days but supposed to be 75 in a couple days...

I have been doing laundry today,,, will clean house too and still working on getting office organized ,really need to get rid of lots of old crap... shredder is getting lots of use...

When hubby comes back we are going to plant a few pots of flowers for the back yard... it's been landscaped nicely but want to add some color... need to get some bamboo curtains for patio too... will need the shade when it gets warmer... hubby is going to add a couple outdoor ceiling fans too to help it stay cool out there...

Well off to fold some laundry and change load ... have a good day al!

Sheri...I like straight hair....I bet it looks nice on you.

Sunny, I hop e that GG is better soon.

Nana, Sounds as if things are going well for you...so happy to hear it.

Tina--laundry. good for you !! I should not have commented on my washer/dryer the other day when Sunny's washer died. The heating element died on my dryer. Repairman is coming out on Monday.

Took taxes in to get done today--fun trip... NOT !

It was so windy today that it made it freezing outside even though it wasn't really freezing. Supposed to be windy again tomorrow.

Junie, I like my hair straight too but it's so hard to get it straight and then if it's at all humid it's hard to keep it straight.

Aubry came over this afternoon and we made Darbi cookies. We've decided not to go to the game tomorrow because I think it's supposed to be windy again and I'm not sitting in the wind.

I'm getting freezing rain this a.m. I still haven't cleared all the mess from the 'two day' storm either....oh well, with this weather it's not like I will be going anywhere.

I see on the news that the weather is terrible everywhere this week...keep safe and warm.

Good morning ! breakfast

It is dry & sunshiny here---in the 50's---but my DD on the east coast is getting it badly---mainly VERY high winds that are scary strong as well. I have not seen her on Facebook this morning yet..I hope all is well Thank goodness her DH is home for this.

The cookies are made and Darbi's other grandpa will take them to her today. The wind stopped last night and it was still as could be so I thought we might go but it's started back up this morning and it's 45° so I'm staying put in my house. When Ginger played in college we sat in the freezing cold so many times I can't even remember. At one game Johnny and I were the only spectators and every once in a while I'd have to go into the bathroom and turn on the hand dryer to get a little warm. It was so cold I don't know how the girls were able to catch the ball. I'll let Darbi's mother and dad do that during her college years.

Hate you're getting freezing rain Sunny.

Gotta get started around here.

I have so much drainage, and it is bothering me big time. I have a lot I could do but we will see what happens.

Morning,

Gee I feel guilty it is supposed to be around 70 today and sun is out... do hope it warms up soon for you all...

Hubby is on his way back , got a late start , so may spend night in NM ... it's a long drive....and most of its pretty boring ,lots of empty desert ...

We will be planting some flowers soon.. not till end of March... and in pots.. when we go back up to Colo I will pick up the house plants I left with Carrie..
did get a new philodendron here a couple weeks ago...miss having my greenery around...

Well off to run the vacuum and dust the house... then work on sorting thru office stuff some more... shredder is getting a workout .. getting rid of old crap..

Have a good day all.

Nana

Do not feel guilty. It was in the 60's in Illinois today..but then in the 30's tonight--and then rain next week. We will all get our good weather...eventually any way.....

So glad that you can plant so early, even if it is in pots.....I am envious of you all. Carol will be doing no real planting this year..as I do not know when we will be moving.
But then I guess I have to keep my flowerbed looking nice don't I ?? YAY for that...

G'nite & sweet dreams to you all.

Gee Gals, can you share some of those ice temps?

DH just came in to tell me that I have a flat tire on my car. The garages are closed and my 'dummy tire' won't suffice to take GG to the doctor in town tomorrow.

DH is on his way to help another farmer who had his barn roof fall in...that's the third one this year.

Hoping Sunday is a better day for y'all.

Good morning---my computer first froze, well it would not do anything but light up, then would not start after I turned it off. I waited 5 minutes & then it came back on...slowly.

Sunny, I hope that your DH can get your tire fixed early enough tomorrow so you can get to the Drs. Otherwise it sounds as if he will have to take you...or give you his vehicle--LOL

Good morning. Repairman is coming today. Hopefully by tonight I can once again dry my clothes.
Today I have errands to do. I can be gone until around noon. Repairman said he would be here around 12:30.

I wish you all a great day.

Good afternoon.
The repair "men" were here.....took them all of 20 minutes to replace a $33.00 igniter in my dryer..it cost me $170.00.....AND thank the Lord my DH was home---HE had to replace the hose that removes the air & extra lint to the outside. Good news is he also vacuumed the floor when he moved the dryer.

Washing a load of clothes now.....

Tina...I should get to taking care of some paperwork as well.......thanks for reminding me.

7 pm here.

That's a nasty repair bill, yikes.

I spent the day at the hospital with GG. She has been beyond sick to the point where I was getting scared. Finally got a doctor to listen to me and treat her with antibiotics...if I can get them to stay in her.

I also mailed our taxes this morning...I'm 'on the ball' this year.

Clothes cleaned & dried. Supper made & eaten.

WE went in & had our taxes done Friday. We do not have them back yet----when we do I will mail them off, OR the accountant will e-mail them in..we shall see.

Sunny, how is GG? Glad you took her to the ER.

Junie, you're moving??? To where? If I know this it has flown out of my head.

My sister in West Virginia got some of the noreasters wind and blew part of their roof off.

Nana I shred stuff constantly. We need a larger one.

My daughter with the triplets (and the little boy) wants us to move down by her, as she needs the extra help. Then too we are not getting any younger, and neither of our girls live close enough to us to help if we had a problem. So we will be moving to Southern Missouri. I will keep you all posted.

My Daughter who lives in Virginia about 30 miles from D.C. had 65 MPH winds. It shook her roof & she was sure they were gonna lose it, but when all was said & done they had their roof, and everyone was ok. Thank goodness the worst hit when my SIL was home. They have no one but themselves out there.

sweet dreams everyone. wavy

Good Morning!

I wonder why your DH would have broken blood vessels. That would cause a black eye, right ? I hope everyone feels better soon.

See you all this afternoon/ evening.

Hey Junie your moving down my way, maybe. I live in a small town outside of Branson called Kimberling City. It would be great if when you get down this way we could meet up for coffee or something. Where will you be? Just know you will trade a lot of snow for a lot of stone...you'll get it when you get here.

I have been really busy with work, so missed you guys a couple of days.

I read Sunflowers saying a black eye for no reason. You might google that, could be signs of something serious, like high blood pressure or something as simple as rubbing your eyes in the middle of the night. I too hope DH feels better soon.

Here's wishing all a good day, cold and sunny here. Oh and really windy...till we meet again! wavy

Tina, I'm trying to make something of my day too. It's raining here so it's going on inside. Right now I'm eating a hot dog so I can't say I'm feeling proud but it sure is good :) As usual Shelley is chasing her head to catch her tail. I thought when Darbi went to college that some of her picking up and dropping off would stop but it seems it's actually gotten worse. This afternoon I'll either have to pick Aubry up and take her to piano lessons or pick Colby up after ball practice.

Sunny, sorry you guys are sick. Seems the bug has moved into your house and won't leave until your weather warms up. I'm with Mary about suggesting DH get that eye checked out.

Good to see you Mary. Don't work too hard.

Good afternoon !

Mary, My daughter lives in Scott City...scott county. about 15 minutes from Cape Girardeau, MO We will be living in that area.

One of my friends here at ceramics thinks we are making a mistake but we feel this is something we should be doing. Not to mention our oldest DD wants us to very badly. The DH of our baby (she is 31 and has 3 boys) does not want us to, because of we do they cannot come home(from Virginia) have a place to say while visiting family here, and his parents are now about 45 minutes firm here, and it will be 2-1/2 hours between the 2 parents houses when we move.

Home from ceramics---I need a nap.....

That's a lot to think about Junie and I will say that sometimes it's nice to live in driving and visiting distance rather than going over and picking up from school or babysitting distance from the grandchildren.

What are you working on in ceramics these days? Have you checked to see if there will be a convenient place to where you're moving?

I loved living close to the kids while they were younger , helping with the babysitting , but we just had to get somewhere we could afford to live and make our money last...Nicoli called me today to help with a Language Arts question he had... poetry, I didn't like it in school and still don't but hoping I made sense for him, he said he understood what they wanted so hope he really did...

I am working in my office, cleaning out big filing cabinet... want to go get a couple storage boxes to file the last 22 years of tax papers we have... I know we don't have to keep that far back but hubby wants too. , just want them out of filing cabinet... would empty a whole drawer. did get my current small files ready for this years bills and receipts.. office is still a mess.... but getting more organized slowly...

Well it's late , even the dog went to bed so guess I will too.. want to hang some pictures tomorrow... and work on more office stuff, shredder is really getting a workout... have a good night all... hope every feels better tomorrow Sunny, wish I could send you all out close to 80's this week... though we should get some much needed rain too...

Nana

Hello Nana !! how have you been,

Moving to Missouri will be better for us money wise as well. Their taxes in Missouri are nowhere near as high as ours are in Illinois. My advice to anyone considering moving to Illinois is 1) Don't & 2) if you insist in doing so, DO NOT Even consider Madison county. Well unless you like giving money away to the state.

My DH keeps talking of being there to pick up kids after school of the evenings. And while that is true, my DD pointed out that as we age, if we needed a driver to go to a Drs. appt. or were suddenly ill, they live 2 to 3 hours away..and if we lived by them it would be no big deal to take a day or part of a day off to take us to whatever.

This is more a thing we think we should do, not one we so much want to do.

Sweet Dreams to you all

Did I mention that I messaged Belinda (suzydaze maybe??) on FB and asked about dodge. She said dodge told her she was going totally offline, FB, forums, email, everything and she hasn't had contact since. I usually receive a Christmas card from her and an email when she receives mine but I didn't this year. I'm going to send another card today. Hope she's ok.

Taking ToDeTa to the vet today. I think she needs hormones and maybe thyroid medicine.

Wow Nana, 80's/ don't you live in Colorado? 80's sound so wonderful...I can't wait for open window/door weather!!

Sunflowers, I had Influenza B and still have the cough. I've heard it takes weeks to get over that part. I was in bed for about 10 days and can't remember the last time I was in bed that long. In fact, I have probably never taken off more than 2 days in a row from work in the last 9 years. Even my vacations are not a solid 5 days in a row with no interruptions. point is, take good care of yourself, that flu is nothing to mess with..

Junie, Scott City is about 5 hours away from me. i am in southwest MO and Scott City is in the southeast MO. We lived at Lake of the Ozarks for about 8 years. We had a house on the lake with a dock and we could get in our boat to go out to eat because most of the restaurants are on the lake and quicker to get to by boat. I love fishing and could just walk right out to my dock and fish to my little hearts content. Grandkids loved it, BUT I was so far away from everyone, 4.5 hours that I only got to see them about 3 times a year. I told my hubby, I wanted to be back closer to kids and grandkids, so we decided on Table Rock Lake area and here we are...I love it. I get to see everyone so much more. They are only 1.5 hours away and we can go see them too. My sister even moved from Texas and lives about 5 mins from me. It worked out great for us. I hope whatever you decided makes you happy.

Bestofour, I love hot dogs with chili. mmmmm!

Ok so what does DD and DH mean? help

Here ya go Mary:

DH = Dear Husband
DD = Dear Daughter
GG = Grand Girl
GB = Grand Boy

I hope that helps.

so how far are you from me now..I live 45 minutes NE of St. Louis just inside of Illinois. 20 minutes NE of Edwardsville, IL

Sheri: good luck at the vet's. I think I may have gotten a Christmas card from Dodge--I know I got a card between Halloween & Thanksgiving. She made mo mention to me about the no internet thing. I think I to will send her a card as well. Hopefully one of us will get an answer.

Sunny: take care of you and yours. I hope the flu or whatever is soon gone.

Tina: I wish you and yours a great day !!

LOL. MJ,
Well to bring you up to date , we are now back in Az... moved last Labor Day weekend... was getting way to cold for me up there, made me hurt a lot and be housebound in the winter most of time... so after a yr and a half of talking to hubby, he hated leaving kids and grands... so did I but boys are getting older , all teens now and really don't need us all that much now.. oldest grandson has a baby now with his fiancé, youngest grandsons are 12 now, 15 grands and 5 great grands now.... time flies!

Its cold in Colo still by the way, 53* right now... and that's the high... 75 here right now... much nicer...!

In my office right now, shredding old papers... will only let me do 15 or so in a row so get a break every minute or so... wish I still had my other shredder , would alternate, but gave it to dd when we left...hubby set up a tv in here for me with a box so I can watch tv too,,, so nice of him... think it will take me a week to shred all this stuff.. did 4 trash bags so far, couldn't sit long enough before we left with my foot down to do it, or would have... couldn't do much else with a broken ankle in a cast all that time... oh yes we came down here last yr the end of March and I didn't see a sunken living room, stepped down and broke ankle in 3 places, had to had to have surgery to set it and stay with in laws for 5 weeks till I was cleared to travel back up ... spent rest of summer healing and going back and forth to AZ for checkups... finally got cast off , did physical therapy and we finished house stuff to sell it, sold in one day and here we are!

I have way to much junk in this office, have a box filled for donation too.. old spiral notebooks( boys homeschool) just stuff! why do we collect stuff?

Well got another bag full, letting shredder cool down again... at this rate I will be in here for a month! LOL!

Nana: Thanks for the reminder...golly you were all very busy, weren't you ? I know why I keep stuff--some is b/c it reminds me when the girls were home & some reminds me of alll the other in-laws & grands....Plus it seems every time I discard something I need it w/in the week..you know I need it soon enough that I remember throwing it away...

sunny but cold here.....

Good for you, Tina..

I did little...I so wish Rod would do something away from home. I do little to nothing and I am sure it is b/c I am used to doing all my work when everyone is gone & I am alone....

Supper in the oven, ...we will go to church tonight.

Sending my condolences Sheri kissie

I haven't done much of anything lately. Our counter top looks like a pharmacy...and nothing is working. Having the three of us sick at the same time is exhausting.

There are also three Nor'Easter storms in our area from Wednesday through to Sunday. We woke up covered in ice this a.m. with heavy snow on it's way. I can't wait for March to be over.

I'm such a complainer lol

Sunny whatever this illness is people are having a hard time getting completely over it. My sister and several people at church get better (they think) only have it return in a few days and then the cycle repeats. Back and forth to the doctor without much results. I think it just has to run it's own course. Sorry about your weather. Just makes everything worse doesn't it.

Johnny is in denial about ToDeTa. She was given fluids yesterday so she seems perked up today and in his mind she's all better and the labs and doctor are wrong. He won't even listen to the fact that she's being poisoned by her own toxins because her kidneys aren't filtering because "look Sheri. She is peeing." The doctor told us that vomiting was a sign that things are very bad and she has vomited once which Johnny says she's done ever since she was born. I feel sorry for her because I think he's going to let her suffer because he can't face it. Seems mean to say it but I hope she just falls over dead today before it gets any worse.

I agree with Tina, Sheri. That is not mean or cruel. It would be better for ToDeTa to just fade away & easier on Johnny as well. I do so hope that this all works out for you all. It is a sad & hard thing to do. But sometimes it is the necessary thing to be done. I will be thinking of you all.

My DH is the same way about his pets. When we had to put down our Border Collie, Jenny, he said he was not ever doing that again. Well then Dante` (our Australian Shepard mix) came to the point where the vet said it was time. I was worried Rod thought I was going to the vet by myself with Dante`.. BUT luckily he went along.

Tonight I get to watch a new "The Big Bang Theory". YAY for Thursday nights.

Nice Graphic, James !!! shewinks

MY Daughter in VA had some snow but it was 45*F there today & what snow she had, melted.

Plants N Pots got around 16 inches on her deck as of this morning, and so I assume everywhere else too.

I am headed to sleep now. Sweet Dreams to you all.

I'm a 7 hour drive to Maine.

We got over a foot last night...round 2 starts today. We should get 3 ft in 3 days with this Nor'Easter 'triple threat'. That's normal here but it's the high winds that worry me. I didn't sleep at all last night.

Any 'old wive tales' to kick this flu? Please share...we need it.

I am so sorry and it is not mean to not want your furbaby to suffer, that is why we make the decisions that we do in regards to their health. Prayers for you and your DH, as I have had to do the same thing before and it is so very hard.

i had that flu and I was in bed 10 days. I was lucky enough to have a DH that took care of me and we are the only ones here, so it was easy enough. I don't think I would have gotten over it as well as I did if I had not committed myself to bed for that time. I still have the cough, but that gets better everyday. It really takes time to get over that flu because even after I was considered "well", I still was extremely tired...it just takes time.

Junie, I am about 4.5 to 5 hours from St Louis, 260 miles. I am in southern MO, look for Branson, MO. It is a popular tourist place with SilverDollar City and a lot of shows to go see. There is the Branson Belle and you can take a lunch or dinner cruise on it. They have a show while you eat, lots of fun. And the Dixie Stampede which is a Dolly Parton dinner theater, really different. Lots to do here, so maybe you would come visit. And thanks for explaining the acronyms! Just could not figure those out.
And Nana, AZ makes a lot better sense...I was really going to be jealous if Colorado was having warmer weather than me!

Ok back to work...

Good Morning !

No snow or rain here. Temps in the 40's today. But this is Illinois. All could change on a dime.
Sunny, I Hope you are better soon. Take care.
I Wish You all a great day.

Nana, Like I said in an earlier post, it is good to know that Colorado isn't having warmer weather than me, I would have been jealous!

I am sooooo not a pack rat. I am sure that I get rid of "papers" way before I should and other things, such as household items, clothes, just about anything, I clear out at least once a year. Clothes twice a year, if I haven't worn it by end of season, it goes to someone else. Needless to say, I end up with not so many clothes, but at least they are what I will wear. And my DDNL (that is a new one I just made up! grin ) they love it because they get boxes of things they can use or give away. it is a win win situation for me. And only one time have I missed something that I got rid of, it was a box of "memories" and i do think about that, wish I had not gotten rid of it, but that is the only thing in all these years. When me and my DH first got together, he had a box of blue jeans that he quit wearing because of one reason or another. He had had that box for at least 3 years, he said. That just blew my mind, why would you keep dragging around a box of something you will never wear when you could give to someone that would. Needless to say, i got rid of that box and that has been my MO ever since!

Have a great day to all!

Oh Sheri I have been in that same position with a pet that was terminal and a hubby not believing , ours was diabetic and vet said we could treat with insulin but would have to be with him 24/7, well with both of us working at that time, that wasn't an option, he was going blind too and lost of his house training... we had him put to sleep, was a hard thing to do but was best for him, took us over 20 yrs to get another dog... and it will happen again I know but you get so much love first...

I am glad Co is not warmer than you too MJ... but so glad AZ is... we are going up in a couple of weeks to see grands and that part is wonderful, I am not looking fwd to being cold... but boys will be free to visit with us and that part will be fun....
Sunny hope you are feeling better soon, lots of rest is what you need, I love green tea and honey when I feel bad, supposed to help get rid of toxins too... can't hurt to try...

Well I have played enough I guess.. back to my shredder .. and cleaning out the file cabinet...it will be almost empty by the time I finish... sending hubby out today to find me a bankers box to put the older tax papers in (the ones even the IRS says I don't need to keep, hubby wants them) that will really free up some room. I am going to get our tax guy to tell him we only need to keep 7 yrs worth .... not 20!

Have a good day all, prayers Sunny hope this bug leaves you and yours soon but do rest as much as you can...

Mary, try posting here:

go to:

Forum Landscapes,Trials & Triumphs

then go to sub-forum Water Gardens & post in it---OR

Do that "or" at the bottom of the sub-froums is a list of Threads--you can start a new thread & post your question there as well

That is my best idea anyway.

mj There is a Dixie Stampede dinner theater at Myrtle Beach which is only about 3 hours from us. It's a good show. Larry Gatlin used to have a theater there which was great but it closed down.

I'm not a pack rat either. I get rid of things constantly. Johnny on the other hand.......so don't tell him I get rid of his stuff when he's not around. My sister and her husband both border on the edge of being hoarders. They have moved several times in their marriage and take never unpacked boxes from one place to the other to the other. She saves paper towel rolls and toilet tissue rolls and moves them from place to place. She says you never know when you'll need them for a project. They both also have clothes that they'll never fit into again taking up space.

Nana, we say we'll never get another dog but we shall see. We had a cocker spaniel we put to sleep at 18 years and then our lab, Porter, died from an allergic reaction - I still haven't gotten over him. We said we'd never get another dog after those died too but here we have Andy and ToDeTa.

Let me go look at the DIY project.

My DD is a hoarder due to laziness, my mother is a partial hoarder. No wonder I have OCD to keep things so clean...I cannot stand clutter or disorganization.

Round 2 of the Nor'Easter has hit...the third is in a few days. This is ridiculous. Anyone want to come shovel out windows for me? lol

DH has taken a few sick days off work...he had no choice. He is also sick and I just can't deal with the farm work, storms and GG and I being sick as well.

I hope the weekend is going well for y'all.

Good morning. Coffee on board and ready for my day. It will start raining about noon, I guess. At least it's a warmer rain than the previous ones.
I hope everyone has wonderful Saturday.

We got some rain here this afternoon too, not a lot but was nice, some of our bushes are starting to flower already, I finally finished going thru old files and crap,,, 7 trash bags of shredded stuff... still have two drawers in the filing cabinet to go thru but it's not stuff that will have to be shredded.

Been watching a series on Netflix about the Unabomber.... scary and sad at the same time......

Well I need to go finish the laundry ....... get it folded... will do beds tomorrow...

Nite all...prayers for feeling better soon Sunny...

Hello everyone. DH & I got here about 1 pm. Girls were in their highchair waiting for us. We all are together then they had their naps.

Val & her D H went to a church Dinner Auction. Henry took a long nap this afternoon so he would be allowed to stay up until his mom comes home tonight.I

Weather may get bad back home tomorrow so we may be leaving early in the morning. We shall see.

As Tina mentioned. Please remember to put your clocks ahead 1 hour this evening or on the morning.

Sweet Dreams everyone !

Clocks are ahead.

Thanks for the well wishes...we really need it kissie

It will not stop snowing. They already gave out warnings for the public because our banks are so high that the children can touch the power lines going to the houses....the older I get, the more I think that apartment living might be a good idea.

Have a good Sunday.

We are home safe & sound & I have unpacked already.

WE drove thru a horrendous snow storm. ...quarter-sized snowflakes and so thick it looked like fog.

Glad you made it home safely, Junie.

I need to go for groceries today before the big storm this week. Old Mother Hubbard has more food in her fridge than me at the moment. lol

We are feeling a bit better. I shoveled out the windows last night...the roof will have to wait for the end of the week.

Coffeehouse is full. grin

Sunflowers, I think your name should be SNOWflowers. That is a lot of snow and I can't imagine shoveling out your windows, like it is just one of those things you do! My hat is off to you, wow!

Reading all that went on over the weekend there is a lot to talk about, but I have to get back to work.

Just want to say thanks for all the replies about my fountain question, with your help, we are getting it figured out!

Everyone stay warm today! I hope there is sunshine in your day!!

Sunny, I do hope that you are feeling better--& stay safe in all of this snow.

As a side note, there is not so much as 1 snowflake on the ground here....I cannot understand it....not that I am complaining !!!

It has snowed all around us but so far we've had only rain - and lots of it. Hope that stays the case. It's 36° right now and I don't think it's supposed to bet to freezing. Fingers crossed.
