Junie, maybe Rod should take the tree down :) But your probably like Johnny says I am and tell him he's doing it wrong.

I'm going to get my allergy shot today which means I have to take a Benadryl before I go so I'll be hung over this afternoon. I hate taking an antihistamine.

Rod went out with our Pastor today..& he was of the impression that he was going to be picked up at home here, so he removed all the ornaments & took the tree down to the basement for me....Then he went out & had to go to Pastor's house with his truck...but hey, my tree is down...

Hi all.

I started my day driving GG to school, their bus broke down and we were freezing waiting for another to arrive.

I then had an appt where I found out I am having spasms in my pulled muscle...I was starting to worry about the numbness in my fingers. A person learns something new everyday.

We are having a big storm tomorrow..it'll be a good day for baking.

Stay safe, Sunny.
We ordered pizza for dinner. I didn't get my tire patched today. They were slammed with work. I will try tomorrow.
It is a few degrees warmer today than yesterday.

I can't tolerate someone who is always late. What's that all about. Always. That said I'm looking for a new egg person.

Poured rain her all night long and the wind was scary strong. Kept waking me up. It's sunny and 62° today but the wind will still make your hair stand straight out.

Hope you get your tired fixed today Tina. We like pizza once in a while too. Vege pizza for me.

Bought some elderberry syrup today from a lady who has elderberry bushes and makes it herself. Hope it's as healthy as they say.

Do you buy all your eggs from a private farm Sheri?

Tina, I like restaurant Pizza as well...wish we could get it here.

It is snowing bad out there...it is a good day to be inside. I made a large pot of homemade spaghetti sauce...baking to follow in a few minutes.

We had one pizza place who would deliver up here. Then it was gone a few years ago. Recently another opened and it is ok. But not something I will do often.
I did not get my tire looked at today.
Now I've got to decide what is for dinner.

Funeral home? I missed something.

Today is the second storm day in a row with no school...I guess the kids are the only ones enjoying this mess. The roads are awful. I am glad that I have no where to go for a few days.

I hope you can get that tire fixed today, Tina.

64° yesterday and 41 today. Variety is the spice of life.

Colby has a fever and Shelley is freaking a little bit. She has PTSD and I don't blame her.

Stay safe Sunflowers. Tina hope you can get your tire fixed.

Junie come back and explain about the funeral home please.

I am so very sorry guys......A lady who was one of the girls main teachers when they were in Grade school, passed away last Saturday. She was a kind perosn and a great help to us over the years. One example (I had a c-section) I was not allowed to leave the house, & we had no bus service. In order for my Valarie to get to school on time, Rod had to take her 30 minutes before anyone was allowed on campus, so Bertha came to school early enough so there was someone there to watch Valarie. There are many more like examples. Her wake was last night and her funeral was today. AS I had a full plate today, we went to the funeral home last night to pay our respects to the family. She was a wonderful lady indeed.

I have a question for Sheri:
...........................................I had a fasting blood test today. It hurt the usual amount, but what was unusual is the horrible pressure I felt on my arm, and it lasted for around 10 minutes after she removed the needle. It still did not feel "right" after the 10 minutes, but l lot better. it is now (about 1 hr & 30 minutes later) just about back to normal.
Sheri, have you ever heard of such as that ?? I know I have never felt it before & I take blood tests every 4 months and also Vita D tests as well at other times.

I am off to the next errand.... wavy

Hi all.

Carol, I heard of that before....usually a few days later you will end up with large bruising in the injection site. Hope it is better today.

Laundry is calling my name for the day.

Good morning. I slept well.
Do you have bruising, Carol? Did you discuss the feeling with your phlebotomist? I hope you are well today.
I hope everyone is well.Have a great Thursday.

It does happen once in a while Junie. It is often from a phlebitis, which is an inflammation of the vein the blood was drawn from. Hope it's better today but if not warm wash cloth laid across your arm and a motrin will help.

Yes I told the phlebotomist. she acted like I was over-reacting, but she did remove the rubber band,,that did help a very small bit. Yes I have a bruise..not real big but I didn't have one yesterday so we will see what happens as time goes by, Thanks to all of you.

working on the house today..Lordy I miss Rod working..I cannot work with him here....

I wish you all a great day.

Yes, when John retired we had to make new arrangements around the house. He actually took on more of the chores until he went back to work. And he worked until he fell ill and couldn't any more.

Rod offered to do more around the house, I just had to ask--well I asked him to clean up after supper---he puts away bread & butter (I rarely use either) and he sometimes picks up the plates & if I wait long enough he will wipe the counter. He will not stack the dishwasher, put leftovers away nor hand wash what needs hand washed. I asked him to wash some dishes the other day & when I returned home, they were washed but I got berated for asking him to wash the dishes right before I left the house & how dare I expect him to clean the stove...and as a further example he offered to help me when I was cooking supper tonight..well, by the time I woulds ask him to do something then tell him how to do it, and tell him where to get all that he needed to do the task, I am sure I could do it myself faster.. PLUS if he went into a cabinet to get say the forks, they had better be laying right in plain site and easy for him to find .
Mind you we have lived her since December 26th 2004, and no I have never changed where I keep my things....

so he thinks he would help but in reality no,....at least not often.

Yes, I cannot remember what the name of it is, but my kids all tried that on me in their teens. For instance, If they were cutting vegetables for salad and it wasn't done on time, we would sit down to eat and let them finish. Salad is just as good after a meal as it is for starting one. Or it is still their turn for dishes even if there is a second days worth. If I continued living my life, they would catch up. Jonni is still the worst roommate I've ever had.
Sweet dreams all.

The joys of kids and men. lol

Grandboy followed DH home yesterday, he went to visit for a few minutes while running and errand. Then on the drive home G-boy gave him a lecture that he was not allowed to drive Grammie's car grin

I'll take him back later and run a few errands on the same trip.

Glad to hear I am not the only one, Tina. Rod will not change. I think he has been this way his whole life, & so thinks his is reacting correctly.

Shame on your DH for driving your car. LOL It is good that you have your Grandboy watching.

I dislike winter for many reasons, but one of the main ones is the slant of the sun. For several hours in the morning, the sun hits right in my eyes while e sit and drink my coffee.

Passive/aggressive! I woke up in the middle of the night remembering the word(s).
I went to bed chewing over my forgotten words and they popped back in during the night. It happens to me often.
"Specific signs of passive-aggressive behavior include: Resentment and opposition to the demands of others. Procrastination and intentional mistakes in response to others' demands. Cynical, sullen or hostile attitude".
Good morning.TGIF. Although the days of the week don't mean the same to me these days. Today I will shop for the weekend and such.
I hope it is happy for all.

Yes, it is something most kids go through during their teens. But when it goes beyond the 'trial' era it is terrible to live with. I don't have any answers for it.

I wish you did....as an example on our youngest DD:
I got a Facebook message saying: " while I know you will be upset with me coming home next weekend and not coming to Worden, please remember that my friend is going thru a hard time and we just need to have a girls weekend."
Now, A) I said no such thing & B) She could have "come home" & not even told me. OR better yet, she could have let me know that she would be on a plane & coming home, but would not have any time to stop by.

I often ( all be it silently) thank God for my oldest child.

I will say that Jonni was much easier to deal with when she lived elsewhere. Now she is home again, not so much.

Yep, when I get any type of complement from said child, it is always a "left-handed" one.

This is sad to say but I would never let my daughter move in again...my nerves are not that strong. You are a strong woman Tina kissie

GG went to her mom's for a sleepover. Not sure what today's plans are...something will pop up I am sure.

YAY for warmth, Tina !!!

Rod needed change so he was willing to go to the grocery for me to get some Sweetened Condensed Milk. Plus since he did I can now make him a new dessert I found. I need to take a bath & then hopefully the butter will be soft enough to proceed.
