GG and I went to a local craft sale this morning...I bought new knitted mitts for the kiddies We came home because it is starting to snow.

I am very glad it's the last day of the concert up the road. And just by the number of cars, attendance is low. Of course it's raining like a son if a gun today and that'll do it. It's going to look like Woodstock, '69 out there. So not my thing.

It's a dry day ahead...a few for a matter of fact. It is below the freezing point though with it as well. Winter is really on its way.

Hi all,

I am sitting in my new office , surrounded by a mess .. setting up a new office is work! I am officially on a break... Hubby is in family room putting together a bar stool .. third one .. he already put together a shelf unit for the guest bathroom today... He is getting tired of putting stuff together but we are about done with that... after I get my office done I am calling the ortho doc and getting an appt to have the screws taken out of my foot.. it's still painful and really hope getting them out helps that.... The kitchen is mostly set up, got stuff still in boxes but need a new china hutch for that stuff... since I didn't pack it , opening boxes is always a surprise... weirdest stuff got put in same boxes..

So far we got the mattress and box spring and loaner frame and a loveseat from the furniture store. waiting on rest of bedroom set to be delivered,, but nice to have a bed and places to sit.. still looking to buy a new fridge and guest bedroom set, gave my almost new fridge to Carrie when we left, hers was going out , she gave it to our old across the street neighbors for their garage, the one that came with house is to small for us, got used to having more room available... LOL!

I am really enjoying my new Jacuzzi style bathtub... really helps the achy body from putting stuff away...

Well off to start emptying boxes some more and sort thru old crap that should have been gotten rid of , not packed...oh well!

yes I did..well all but the clothes I washed back on Nov 1 & then promptly left in the washer----and when I returned?/ did I rewash them (just towels) nope--I just thought of them tonight--I hope I can remember them tomorrow.

Today GG has a dental check up and cleaning...and I need to pick up groceries. They are already giving us a severe weather warning for snow tonight...I am glad to have all the outdoor chores completed for Winter.

And I too ordered my last exchanging ornament today. When I order a family ornament for my youngest, shopping for her will be done---and then one of my Grandsons are done as well. Today Rod & I are running some of his errands...when we get home I have more clothes to wash.

Hi all.

I had an Uncle pass away...he was 82, had pneumonia and refused to go to the hospital. He had a good life and did what he wanted...he said that was the perks of never marrying. I'll be busy the next few days..we have family flying in for the service.

After church, we visited with my Husband's Aunt who is in the nursing home. Then after we ate lunch, I ironed a few shirts for Rodney. Next up I got my Christmas list in order. If I were not so tired already I would continue to work on my Christmas list & such. BUT I think sleep is in my near future.

Junie, I love to iron...in fact I just bought a table top mat for ironing off my b-day money. It is convenient for ironing right on top of my dryer.

Sunny. Sorry for the work of cleaning out the shed--glad that it is done though. I too have one of those Matts. I found mine at a Goodwill store. They ARE handy I must say. BUT I also have my Grandmother's wooden ironing board up all the time in the basement.

MORE errands are on the agenda today...Rod always has an agenda it seems.

I ran errands yesterday...most were not even mine. Today I made the Christmas meat pies...they are freezing at the moment. It's earlier than usual for me to make them but the meat prices are supposed to take a big jump this weekend so I decided to beat the rising prices.

I am thinking I may make some Christmas cookies this weekend. For the Freezer as well. IF I make the Oatmeal Cookies,(8 dozen) there will be enough for us to eat a few now as well. We shall see.

Hi all.

DH brought out another two cords of wood today. (trees that were downed from a wind storm last week). We split it...now I'll head out in a few to cord it up since it is supposed to snow tonight.

That 'to-do' list is not getting any shorter lately

not to worry. This winter when the winds (& the snow) blow, you can stay safe & snug in your "warm" house, thanks to the wood. OH how I miss wood heat.

yes I liked the first one better---but this one was fun too. I do think the mustache was a bit disconcerting too. it was all wrong...HP kept his well groomed & cared for. I still enjoyed going to the "movies".

I am sitting here watching the rain fall....freezing rain that is. The grands were supposed to go for Xmas pics today...I made DD cancel yesterday. I am so glad that we get weather warnings so far ahead.

Did I by chance give anyone a recipe for Cranberry tea? I used cranberry cocktail & brewed iced tea. There was sugar and possibly some lemon???
