I have no idea what I did with the recipe--and my sister has lost hers too (she is the one with the original recipe)

Grocery shopping is on my agenda today. I wish you all a good day.

I found one HERE for you, Carol. If it has too much of something in it, you can alter it to match your memory.

Tina to the rescue kissie

I moved furniture yesterday while mopping....today I now have a broken toe. Lesson learned for me. My little toe and edge of my foot is already turning purple.

Because of that...I will be taking a rest day today. lol

Ouch, Sunny. Take care. Did you go to the doctor?
Good morning. I've run low on milk and a few things so I guess a run to the store is in order. I wanted to avoid that before Thanksgiving but...
I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

Ouch !!! yea I will save you the trip to the Drs. If it is not broken they will do nothing, if it is broken they will do nothing..well they may tape it---I DID break mine (well my big toe) a few years back, went to the DR. got it x-rayed, and all they would do was tape it----it hurt too much when I taped it, so THAT did not happen....BUT what did help was a cloth open toed shoe. it laces shut so it is a one size fits all. The Dr. told me about it, but no prescription was needed. I just went to the pharmacy & said I wanted one. It has no right or left, but it has a thick neutral (no left or right) sole which supports/protects your broken toe while it heals, and you can walk & not be worried that you might "bump" your toe, the shoe sole will hit whatever well before your foot does....and it does not crush the foot in it as it would be in a shoe. If it is cold a loose sock could be worn as well. I seem to remember "trying" to prop my foot up on a pillow to sleep..THAT did not work too well either, but it felt great while the foot was up on the pillow.---LOL

Please rest. if it does not heal right you might have trouble walking properly when it is completely healed.

I will say goodnight now snooz

Hi all...no, I never went to the hospital Tina. It is over an hours drive just to get an x-ray. My foot is quite swollen and every color of the rainbow. Luckily I had a new pair of thick flip flops. The fit good and are well padded....worst part is that it is freezing outside and I can't get any shoe or boot on. I'll survive...I just don't like being slowed down.

I have no idea what today holds...it should be errands but that's not happening unless I can call i a favor with someone. lol

Good morning. It's hot! I spent the morning getting ready for winter. Filling my propane tank and stuff. It seems odd when it is so warm. We are expecting the warmest Thanksgiving since recordings began. I am very glad I am not roasting a turkey this year.
I hope you all have a great day.

It is a good thing that Canada's Thanksgiving has already been, Sunny. I would hate for you to be in your shape now and have Thanksgiving tomorrow. Rest well my friend.
Tina: I like to Roast a Turkey in a roaster...no heat like with an oven on that way. It tastes wonderful, but it does not brown nice..but oh well, IMO no matter.

I feel like it is much later than it actually is....

I hope you wake in less pain, Sunny.
No, I wouldn't roast a whole turkey anyway. My kids won't touch it.
Sweet dreams, friends. I hope tomorrow is wonderful for all my favorite people here.

You sound like me, Sunny. Once I get so much sleep, I cannot go back to sleep if something wakes me up.. Aging is grand---NOT. I hope your DH got hime safe, Sunny.

IT is a coldish but bright sunny day here. We will be going to my Brother's for an evening meal. His DD wanted it that way as she is going to her BF's family's house for the noon meal. So, I get to take it easy this morning...it is nice--I think I will watch the Macy;s Thanksgiving Parade.

I wish everyone a flwr VERY HAPPY Thanksgiving !! flwr

Good morning. This is when Christmas season begins in my mind.
A lazy day sounds good. But it is not to happen. I need to get something done about the state of my house.
Getting prepped for your daughter's visit sounds like a fun thing, Carol. Black Friday shopping does not.
I hope everyone has a great day.

Yup Tina, I promised GG that we could start decorating today. We do a bit each day for two weeks then go get a tree after the 6th of December. By then the house is 'Christmasfied' lol

My daughter said that the Walmart online site has crashed because of the 'Canadian black Friday' specials. I can see that happening...how many people stayed up all night with their finger on the 'send' button trying to get the deals all at the same time.

I have molasses cookies baking at the moment...it smells wonderful in here.

I had to go do the local resale shop to donate some clothes, so I went to my pharmacy to pick up my prescriptions as well. Well, first thing is the prescriptions cost me nothing.....at least there is something good about being on medicare.
Then while I was waiting for my Prescriptions to be filled, I had some donut holes. The Pharmacy had them out with coffee & cider for people doing Black Friday shopping...so hey I reaped some of the benefits of Black Friday huh ???
