I love grilled food...I must get in a meal or two before the snow flies.

Good going Tina...hoping you have some help.

Today I will trim and tie up the shrubs...the perennials got taken care of yesterday. GG goes skating after supper on Sunday's...so my day is planned out.

Good morning. Either the winds are messing with my nose or I have a bit of a cold. I'm not a fan of either.

it is over-cast here. in the high 60's. It was supposed to storm..but that has not happened yet. Which is ok by me.

I just watched a Hallmark Movie---A "good witch" Movie...

Rod will be home tomorrow..

I do have a bit of a cold happening. I'm going to sleep it off. Sweet dreams all.

good luck with the cold, Tina. It took me like 8 days---mind you the first 4 or 5 days I was in denial.

I have been up since a bit before 4. I wish I could go back to sleep after I wake like this...oh well.

Good morning. I still have a cold. With a little sore throat. I guess it really is a cold. It has been awhile.
It is supposed to reach triple digits today. I am not looking forward to that.

GG has the same sore throat with a cold....seems to be a normal thing with her.

Chicken Pox is also going around...the joys of school.

Gracious, I was thinking I was sorry for the GG getting a cold--but that is nothing compared to the Chicken Pox....and her getting it is not a bad thing--at least it will be done then===but If she does get it, I hope she does not "share" with her brother....

I hope you can avoid the chicken pox, Sunny. It was devastating for my oldest. Bad for the next two. They had shots for my youngest two and they had them. But Jonni came down with a slight case anyway.
It is not something I would wish on anyone at all.

I remember having them--I had them worse that my sister, but we were both ill at the same time (poor Mom)

My girls were both sick at the same time with them as well, but we had an oatmeal soak, was it, that helped them a LOT!!!
My niece had them 3 times--although the last 2 times were just slight cases.

I still have my cold but not as much sore throat as earlier. Teddy's got a cold now, too.

My sympathies to Teddy. Poor guy--I hope it is short lived for him..

Good morning. I feel sorry for those attending the World Series today. It's supposed to be near 100 degrees at game time tonight. It's to be over that here today with single digit humidity. A wet t-shirt, no moving kind of day. We broke various heat records yesterday.

Hoping Teddy feels better.

DD had seizures with her chicken pox so I don't take it lightly. Either way...it is inevitable that she'll get them some day.

It has warmed up considerably...now the house flies are out in full force. yuck.

it is 50* F here and a cold wind is blowing. It is said that we may well have snow flurries on Friday---

And we have a heat wave. Weird weather for sure.
I am hungry and I don't know what to fix. Something simple and cold though.

what did you end up fixing to eat, Tina.. My first thought was Pop corn & then my mind went to a salad with perhaps boiled eggs & shredded cheese on it for Protein. I hope you found something yummy to eat.

I ended up wish some vegetables, cold baked beans and bread with butter. Simple, filling and cold.
I still have a cold. Sweet dreams all. I'm taking my old bones to bed.

Rest is the best thing--and to My notion aside from your body healing better when it gets plenty of rest, if you are sleeping you cannot feel crummy, right ??

Another hot day today but without the hot winds. I'll take it. It beats the cold.

Good Morning ! I actually slept for 8 hours last night ! not only that but when I get up to go potty at 5:30 I was able to go back to sleep. I hope my day is as good as my night was !!!

Well, I just made my husband's lunch for tomorrow at work for the last time. Friday there will be a lunch for him & then when he comes home Friday evening (his Birthday) he will be retired. Where DID the time go ?????

well here i am again. I have been up since around 5:45. I got up to use the bathroom & I tried to go back to sleep--That was an epic fail.--oh well...

It is still dark, so I do not know what kind of day we will have.....

Well, Rod went to work today for the last time. It was strange NOT making his lunch. I did make him coffee though, so that helped me. (I felt like I had forgot to make it for him)

I am soon off to run errands. It is always something, huh?

Happy retirement to Rod...and my condolences to Junie

Sorry I haven't been in. We have been so busy with odd jobs and outdoor farm work.

Happy birthday to Rod too! As well as retirement.

WE just had a great time on Skype. Luke & Micah wanted to talk to Grandpa & wish him Happy Birthday. they even sang to him--twice !!

Then we got to see Ian & while Chris took them all to bed, we had a nice chat with Emily. You know we should do that more often. it was almost like having them home to visit.

Well, we have next years firewood cut....splitting it will follow tomorrow. Then it will need to be hauled and corded outdoors here. We are late this year, yikes.

Good about the firewood !!

Today in Wal-mart we saw small bundles of firewood for sale. Rod said we should get Brian one for Christmas..but then I bet he will not understand it is a joke--I said no BUT I will ask for ideas & if I get none that my back up is a bundle of wood...I laughed--------

Rod took me to the indoor flea market today- it was COLD and everyone and their brother was there...so I basically ran thru and then said we can go. Sad thing too as the prices were very good.

THEN he took me to eat. when we got home I slept for 2 & 1/2 hours. Then I went out & brought in Valarie's lilac bush to the Garage. It will stay out there this winter so it does not freeze. It is now supper time & we neither are hungry--oh well.
