my friend & I cleaned church for the last time this year. The I went to my Primary care Physician to get my quarterly check-up. Then to run some errands.
Home now...I think a nap is in order.

Finally feeling a lot better. Seems everyone around here has had this virus to one degree or another. Some are too sick to get out of bed. Thankfully I've been able to continue with most of the stuff I do around the house.
Sunny, hope you raise a lot of money. I think there's a cure out there.

Hello,
Evening all, got some news... we put an offer in on a new house.. built in 2005, 4 bedrooms... nice back yard...2 car garage and a big shed in the back yard for all the yard stuff.. we have the paperwork started , hoping to expedite the closing process, mortgage agent is doing her stuff as quick as she can, hopefully the inspection, termite inspection will go well, don't see a problem, the house was immaculate... the owners took care of it.
Well I better go get ready for some sleep, need to go to town tomorrow to do more paperwork..

Great news Nana. The fundraiser went well....except some kids wrote notes of support on each others faces as well as on the special shirts they wore. Turns out it was permanent marker....and today is picture day.  I am off in a few to run errands.

The kids can take their pics when the guy comes back for re-takes in November. I took GG to her mom's for a sleepover and GB followed me home again...apparently he has no plans to put up with his sister  It is cold this morning...32*F at the moment.

ah yes, it is October 1st YAY for fall !!!
cabin benches cleaned...but cookies not made. I cannot find cardamom and since the recipe looks basically to me like Oatmeal with apple pieces in it, I may well make them anywya & call them just that...oatmeal cookies with apple...

I love Tuesdays for you.
I watched a good story tonight about the shootings in Las Vegas. A guy was looking for a vehicle to help get wounded to the hospital. Found a truck with the keys inside and took it. He made several trips with a mess of people. The new-ish looking white truck was filled with blood in and out in the bed. I don't have any idea what the owner felt about it but the kid did good as far as I'm concerned.

The world is a scary place...prayers for Las Vegas. My DD called, she won a contest at a local paint center near her...10 free gallons. They want her to pick it up Saturday...she told me to choose a few for myself when we go.

I had not heard that about the truck, Tina. I agree that was a good thing for the guy to do...I would like to think the owner was OK with what was done...the Truck can me washed after all...and thanks for the Tuesday comment. Hi all. I absolutely have to go for groceries later...GG wants to follow so I have to wait for the school bus. Tina, my whole house needs painting except the bathroom and GG's bedroom(done it in April). I am painting the entrance for sure. DD needs to paint her bedroom as well. I told her to take the extra in white...she can always tint it if needed at a later time. She has to take the 10 cans on Saturday. I made bread....the house smells wonderful.

Hi all. I've got an apple pie in the oven...and it over flowed.  Tomorrow I will be cleaning the oven. DH is gone to deliver a load of straw. We had an extra 100 bales that are not needed. Now if I could find sale for oats we'd be ahead.

Good evening.
I have a lazy weekend ahead. There's something called CalJam going on at the park tomorrow. No camping but they have a bunch of porta-potties up and down my street. Ugh!

Kids are here & sleeping--as is Rod..I went to bed but here I am wide awake.
I will say goodnight now for in case I DO actually go to sleep---but that option is not looking good right now

There's not too many quiet weekends where you live Tina it seems...it is good that you can prepare before hand.

We are celebrating Thanksgiving a day early here. It is really tomorrow but I'd rather cook the turkey today since I am hosting it....DH is home today also.

Yes, Mmmmmm left overs...esp. turkey, dressing & gravy !!! YAY for Thanksgiving !!! Sunny...do you make Turkey soup with the carcass. ?? I think that is my favorite part of Thanksgiving. (the carcass soup) Rod & I will not get to celebrate Thanksgiving until the weekend after..so, I may well buy a small small turkey & bake it on our Thanksgiving proper just so I can make soup afterwards... Party is over and kids are gone...I may straighten up the house some, or I may just rest today..The house work WILL wait for me..

Sometimes I make soup...that didn't happen this time though. We treated the barn cats to the carcass. I do love the hot turkey sandwiches that we will have today They celebrated my birthday as well since Grandboy was here for the day. It is really only tomorrow.

ok saw the Dr. lungs clear--but I do have the beginnings of a sinus infection. meds to combat that. needless to say I took a nap already this evening.

Hi.
GG and I had a stomach bug yesterday....good thing is that today we are well. The joys of school germs.
Today is outdoor clean up. There is a nasty wind storm on it's way for the weekend so the trampoline, Summer decor, chairs and such are getting packed for Winter.

Tina, I think the snow might skip us, it is calling for temps in the 40's but it is also calling for damaging winds. If it stays above 32* we will get rain instead. Mind you this storm is bringing snow at the moment to my nephew in Ontario. We are getting warnings already to brace for power outages...I am going to enjoy my new generator.
Grandboy is coming for a visit today. DD is going out for the day with a friend that is running a day of errands...then they will go out for Chinese buffet.

It was a fun party tonight. We only stayed little while. Teddy enjoys these things. He walks around and hugs everyone or shakes hands. Then he will go to their dog and put his face right into hers for kisses. Then he will start all over to do it again. And again. It's pleasant at first then he begins to seem like a stalker after awhile. I don't keep him around long after that.
When we came home I chased Jonni out of the shower and sent her down to look in on it. Everybody wanted to see her.

WE ran some errands after Church today==now it is a book work kind of day.
